First - lets talk about the "i" version and smart box. The Cam software is clunky and obtrusive when compared to something like Asus aurasync. Why does it want me to create a login? Why does something for setting fan speed and light color need any sort of login or internet connection? With that said, once you have it configured and setup - everything HAS been working just fine. Either way, I plan to move my fans to the motherboard and repin my light strips to work with the Asus 5v addressable header on my motherboard... would prefer not having CAM plugging away in the background doing whatever it is that its doing.
On to the rest of the case... the h500 glass mounting is a breeze and the biggest reason I initially selected the case. The back side of the case gives you some decent options for cable routing and SSD mounts. However, for the price of the case, its kind of a bummer that thumbscrews are ONLY available for removing the side panels, Fan/cooler tray, and vertical GPU plate. EVERYTHING else will be manual screws... I'm fine with that for mounting the motherboard, but it would really be nice if they had a screwless system for PCI slots. STILL - I can forgive that. The biggest offender though is the 3.5" HDD bays...
The 3.5" bay require screws into each hard drive. and the bay itself has 4 screws from the BOTTOM of the case. I havent had to deal with something like that for mounting hard drives since.... 2002? To NZXT's credit - it does allow you to offset, center, etc your hard drive bay in case you need some extra space for cable management or something. Still - it would have been far nicer to have a thumbscrew and slide out bay. While we're picking on the 3.5" bay - its also worth mentioning that it has NO rubber mounts or standoffs. This seems to amplify the old spinner drive into a shout whenever something needs to loud. I guess I got spoiled by the LianLi I had before in this respect.
The top fan is a 140mm opening, with a 120mm fan from factory. I knew it in advance, but after seeing it in person...it really looks rather hokey. Its a shame that it doesnt have a 140 out of the box.
Now - with all of the negatives out of the way - the case looks gorgeous with everything installed and built. The cable management worked out beautifully for hiding everything away. The 2.5" bays and fan tray worked wonderfully. It is a nice looking build, MOSTLY nice to work with, and reasonably solid feeling assembled. I suppose I just expected a few more quality of life points for the price. I certainly don't regret purchasing it - but I'm also fairly sure I would not pick it again... at the least I would get the cheaper standard version, or just spend a bit more and bump up to the next tier in case selection in general!
The last time I built a PC, companies were just starting to get away from the ugly box designs with silver unpainted interiors, and it was pretty difficult to get a stylish case for under $200, and at that high price point you were pretty much paying for the ability to actually manage your cables with rubber grommets and the like. So I was a little discouraged when I found this case and liked it, but realized it was only $100. I assumed it was probably low quality when compared to the other NZXT offerings, but I didn't really like anything else I found, so I decided to pull the trigger and send it back if it was a piece of junk.
Fortunately, this has been the best case I've ever owned, and I was amazed at how easy it was to build in.
- Build Quality -
I'm pretty used to sharp edges, unpainted interiors, and unintuitive design choices. Even older Corsair cases, which I felt were superior in the "ease of building" department, are a joke in comparison to how great this case was.
I was worried that this case would be a bit wobbly when you took off the side panels, and I'm happy to report that it's very solid. The interior paint job is perfect, and the matte finish is actually really nice, and the case lights are perfectly placed and don't cast light cones on the glass (unless you turn them all the way up). Overall it's a great case in terms of quality.
- Building Experience -
There are slots and holes in every possible place that you could run a cable, and the backside has velcro straps and routing channels for your cables. I barely even had to try to manage my cables, and it looked better than my old Corsair 600t did after an hour of zip tying, tucking, and weaving. The back panel shut effortlessly.
The bottom part of the chassis being sectioned off was a genius design choice, because I can stuff cables in there without caring what it looks like, and often contains the most cables if you don't have a modular PSU.
I was able to put my Kraken cooler, and my 1080 ti Hybrid radiator easily within the case, with plenty of room. The airflow is perfectly fine, and both of those items stay around 26C when idling. Wonderful case, I'm nothing but happy with it.
- CAM Software -
Surprisingly, I really like the CAM software. I think in the early days of the case release it was probably pretty rocky, but for me now it worked flawlessly. I enjoy the UI and the temp monitoring, and I can easily change my fan speeds if needed. I don't let it use the fan curve where it "learns" or whatever, I just set it to quiet and turn it to performance if needed. It's that simple.
Overall, I really loved building my PC in this case, and I'm so impressed at the quality for $100.

Overall, I really loved building my PC in this case, and I'm so impressed at the quality for $100.
I have built over 30 computers, not any for quite awhile though and I really like this case. I am 72 so not a gamer but I had a good time building my system in this case. The room that is available is great and it is easy to route the wires so they are not sticking up all over the place. The instructions provided may be a bit hard to understand for a novice but for anyone who has built a system in the past will have no problem at all. The case is very well thought out,I like that the glass side panel only uses 1 screw and it is on the back of the case not sticking out the side like many cases with a glass side panel. My system is a MSI X470 gaming plus, and a Ryzen 5 2600 cpu with a Reeven Justice cpu cooler and a Samsung M2 970 plus ssd drive. My temps are only about 29c on the cpu which I think is great. The cable for the power switch and hd a power light plugged right into my motherboard without having to do each item separately which was nice. Pretty much all I have plugged in is the motherboard and graphics card as far as cables from the power supply. I did add a extra fan to the front of the case to draw in some extra air. It seems like about any power supply should fit without any problem in this case. I did have one of the case fans that made a bit of noise but I slowed it down about 75 rpm to about 850 RPM and all is quiet now. Remember no place in this case for a DVD CD drive, just use a usb one if you need it. Also it has no reset switch not big deal though as the power button will work for this if you really need it. I have my case sitting on the right side of my desk so I really like the USB ports and power switch are on the top of the case as it makes it much easier for me as compared to the case I was using. For me it was a easy build as I got done about 2 hours sooner than I thought and it is the cleanest looking build I have ever done.

Note: My GPU is the ROG-STRIX-RTX2080TI-A11G, this is a 2.7 slot, 3 fan GPU
Vertical GPU mount clearance is not enough to support a 2 slot+ GPU - This is a major problem as most GPUs take up between 2 to 3 slots these days. In a hypothetical world where the card wouldn't overheat from lack of ventilation, The glass plating can't be placed with a 2.7 slot card. Also there isn't a way to secure the bottom of the card in the vertical mount, making it feel flimsy for heavier cards.
Mounting a 3 fan GPU card horizontally can run into spacing issues with the vertical bar to hide cables. I had to push harder than I would've liked to make the card fit.
I'm liquid cooling my CPU, the CPU runs 5 degrees warmer when the radiator is mounted in the front vs having it outside of the case. I assume this is because the front panel is solid and the fans aren't able to pull enough air from the opening in the back. I balanced this by installing a second set of fans to create a push pull system. I suspect the CPU would still run cooler if I tested it a second time with the radiator outside of the case.
The instructions for installing components into the case are exceptionally poor. For instance there's a note for two different kinds of screws, one is 5mm the other is 6mm, however there's only one bag for those screws and they're all the same. This causes confusion.
The good parts of this case:
It's relatively easy to make a clean looking build. There's lots of areas to route wires and velcro them in place.
I like how the SSDs can be mounted, just wish it came with more than 2 mounts.
With the exclusion of some screws having some threading issues, it's a high build quality and looks nice.

Functionality: This case was a dream to build in. There are tons of little ports and access holes for routing, a PSU shroud and cable bar to hide cabling, and lots of ties and eyes for zips. The 2x120mm radiator was easy to install. The fan controller is nice to have.
Performance: The case keeps my system reasonably cool for such a compact case with a closed front panel. No complaints here whatsoever. The case is relatively quiet with good fan profiles set up, and I can't hear my Corsair pump through the glass.
Software: this is the only knock I have against the case. I'm not a fan at all of the CAM software. It loads slowly, isn't very well featured, requires sign-in, and sends a lot of data (no opt out). If I could go back I would I have gotten the h500 with a corsair commander for fan control and RGB.
Value/Overall: This is a beautiful and inexpensive case that is a dream to build in. The software is lackluster, but it's an overall great product and worth your money.

Maybe I was expecting to much.
Edit
Although I guess I can't be happy with everything, the one thing that has been amazing is the Amazon Customer service, they have been very helpful with long wait etc.
5 stars for them. Thank you.
If you don't care about vertically mounted video cards, or your video card is not two slots wide, or the fans do not draw from the front side then this case is awesome.
