On idle I'm at 30 degrees Celsius. While gaming, I am at 40 degrees Celsius. This on an AMD 8350 @ 4.3Ghz and Asus 990FX Pro board. I'm satisfied. Keep in mind that I do have all but one fan (side panel) installed on the Phantom 410.
5 stars because it's solid hardware, had great performance, not too loud, and looks great. Just make sure it will fit in your case! Measure twice and cut (buy) once!
It keeps my 24/7 overclocked (3.8Ghz) AMD Phenom II 955 Black Edition under 50C full load, and idles in the 30s.
I keep the cooler running full speed, directly plugged into the power supply and it is astonishingly quiet, as far as aftermarket performance coolers go. What you hear is the movement of air, and not the sound/drone of fan motors-- the sound that is produced by the cooler is not annoying.
One thing to note is that you should measure how much space you have in your case; this cooler is not for the faint of heart, space-wise. It fit quite nicely in my Antec 902 case.
And lastly, as I know most people like to show off their rigs, this cooler is absolutely beautiful--the fans look great under UV, nicely illuminate to a light blue. The nickle plating over the copper looks great.
Unlike another comment here, I did not have any machine issues with my unit. The fans were SUPER easy to install with their rubber fasteners which, by the way, cause the fans to literally float and not make contact with the cooler, eliminating any vibrations or noise.
Oh, and lastly, be careful with the fins, they are sharp.
The whole assembly is gigantic! I installed it in my new Corsair 600T case (which itself is HUGE) and it could not fit with the top fan on , I had to remove top 200mm fan so this monster can fit.
The assembly: To set up the whole thing it takes 4 special screws, a special backing bracket, a special spacer, four special tower bushings, four special nuts, two additional bracket bars and a special torsion bar. Then a radiator with thermopaste and one or two fans with torsion springs.
The radiator: The thing is heavy and huge. The front fascia is polished metallic surface with beautiful NZXT laser etching
How long to set up: The whole thing can be assembled using enclosed instructions within 10 minutes.
Fans: The kit includes 2 140mm fans. The blades are vanilla ice cream white and shroud is black There are directional markings (arrows) on the shroud of the fans. When installing fans one must take care of positioning the fans so the flow of air is directed in specific way. The kit includes a 2-to-1 CPU 3 pin harness, which means that after the fans are installed one has to plug both fans into one harness which in turn is plugged into the CPU fan socket.
At normal operation the fans are quiet. Because the cooler is so efficient the CPU will naturally run the cooler at optimum low range.
Over all I am super stocked about the cooler and would not blink once to buy it again.
