How you may have quest, the Nails Of calvary do refer to the nails that where used to crucifie Christ. However, this is not a religious script, this is a book of questions, a seacker of truth.
The Nails of calvary is the second book in the Nameless Saga, the first book is Hells Muse, but you can read and enjoy this book even if you did not read the first one. This is not a book for the faint hearted, or for people that dont want questions and ideas to linger for longer that the time they give the book direct attention.
''In the beggining was the word, and the word was a lie'' this is a Quote from The nails of Calvary
The author managed somehow to mix with a special gift and a touch of genius the mith of the trinithy, the pain of Christ, some greek legends, and menthal illness. Well, if that is not a package, what else could be a challenge for the smart and cultivated reader?
I like the way he plays with the mith of the trinity, there is The Leviathan, The Engineer and The Nameless. I will allow you to discover what each does and how they work together and fight each other, humanithy as only victhim . The idea behind it is that there is no absoluthe good, or bad, there are shades of lies, and the word, once spocken will always containe some lies , somewhere, even if our intentions are pure and we only wish to speack or writhe the truth.
I admire Jack Wallen for his talent and his courage to mix so manny diferent topics, like the menthal illnes Dissociative Identity Disorder. Because it takes courage to touch so manny sensible topics like religion, the deep layers of the brain and human sould and the diference btw bad , good and pure evil, and it takes much talent to make this mix work so brilianthly and make our lazy brain ask a few questions.
I will not give away anny Spoilers, i will only say that the Heroine of the book is not entire bad, but also not entire good and she has 27 diferent personalities.
Well, and if you where interested in the destiny of Bronson Coulter you will have a nice surprise. There is always hope, and the fight btw good and evil is not to be lost or won, it is only there to keep the so frail ballance.
Curran is the foretold seer. She can see through any veneer that Nameless may have Hells muse write into existence. Curran and a small group of “Throw away people” Julia, Edwin and Surgat, mental patients, are tasked with retrieving the Nails of Calvary that were stolen from their hiding place that have been guarded by the priest for all these years. They need to succeed in their task before Nameless crucifies Leviathan to raise the army of Hell to break down the gates of Heaven and take over.
Did they succeed? Is Heaven safe and the Nails of Calvary returned to their secret hiding place? Did Curran fail and become Hells plaything? Pick up your copy now to find out.
Jack Wallen out did himself on this book. It is unlike anything I have ever read.
