The water drinker’s bottle.
Thanks to the smaller opening of the Narrow Mouth less water can rush out, making it easier to chug mindlessly. Everything else about the Narrow Mouth is like its Wide Mouth compatriot, so you get all the durability and no-leak peace of mind but without the stress of a mess. Just note that no ice cubes or lemon wedges are getting in here, so if you prefer more than water in your water bottle, check out our Wide Mouth bottles.
For those who prefer a roomy bottle with a smaller opening, we offer our narrow-mouth loop-top bottle. It offers all the same advantages as our wide-mouth, with a top that minimizes the chance of spills and a cap that never gets lost.
Not everyone likes the wide-mouth design of traditional Nalgene water bottles, which is one reason the company built the narrow-mouth Nalgene Tritan. Made of super-tough Eastman Tritan polycarbonate, the Tritan offers the same roomy interior as most Nalgenes, but with a narrow loop top that minimizes the chance of spills and a cap that never gets lost. In addition, the bottle's BPA-free construction is impact-, odor-, and stain-resistant, helping it withstand a wide range of temperatures (from -40 to 212 degrees F) and last for years. Finally, the bottle includes printed graduations on the side, making it easy measure water quantities. Recommended for extreme adventures, the Tritan bottle is available in a variety of vivacious colors.
About Nalgene Outdoor
Based in Rochester, N.Y., Nalgene was founded in 1949 as a manufacturer of the first plastic pipette holder. The company soon expanded its product line to include state-of-the-art polyethylene labware under the Nalgene brand. By the 1970s, outdoor enthusiasts had discovered the taste and odor-resistant, leakproof, and rugged properties of Nalgene's large selection of plastic containers. In response to this emerging demand, Nalgene created a Consumer Products Division. In the ensuing years, Nalgene created a full line of bottles that were perfect for storing everything from water to powdered drinks to pancake mix to shampoo.

I've used this, a wide mouth nalgene, a klean kanteen, and a nissan intak. The nissan intak is made of the same plastic, but it tends to shatter easier because of the less durable design (nalgene tritan's are cylindrical which is more sturdy and durable). Nissan intak had a better spout, but this is more than comfortable enough, its also more durable. The klean kanteen was great, but smells and tastes would permanently stick to the metal and no amount of cleaning would get them out. It also would get innumerable dings and dents in it that couldn't be fixed. My nalgene took the same beatings or worse and emerged with just a few cosmetic scratches. Nalgene bottles are in my opinion, hands down the best bottles you can get. They'll last you forever.
I use my to premix medication & the powdered Gatorade & I love the fact, after shaking it a couple of times & letting it sit, the powder & my meds do not stick / settle at the bottom.
The color "trout green" is a gorgeous teal color. The kid is a nice pearly silver with an attractive shiny element, and although the connector between the lid and the bottle isn't the same colors it's a nice darker gray that looks nice in contrast with the bottle and with the lid.
Hopefully, being BPA free will resolve those issues.
I got this one in particular because I like the smaller mouth opening and that the lid is attached to the bottle - making it harder to loose!
