About the Author
Jennifer Fosberry is a science geek turned children's book writer. After working in the high tech industry in Silicon Valley and running away to Costa Rica for a few years, she returned to the San Francisco Bay Area to read, write, raise kids and not do too much housework. She lives with her husband and three children and wishes for a puppy.
MIKE LITWIN is an award-winning illustrator who combines oil glazing, colored pencil, collage, and other mixed media to create scenes that serve the imagination and education of children.

Also of note: One of the coolest features of these books is that at the end of the book is a short blurb about each historical or fictional character named therein, along with a photo. Perfect for teaching an introduction to history and literature.
This loses one star, however, because Amazon shipped the book with an ad for a website where you can personalize books. The ad is in the form of a sticker on the inside front cover. When I removed the sticker, it ripped the inside front cover, thus damaging the book before it was even given to my son. BOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO!
I am an old stickler for the difference between "who" and "that." The author uses "who" correctly almost every time, except for "...brightest, grandest, greatest boy that ever was...." Also, the brief stories of the high achievers at the end of the book are too complicated for young listeners/readers; I'm sure that some parents would want to read these aloud to their listeners. And even early readers might want to read them. The paragraphs here are a bit lengthy. It's neat, though, for the author to include "Daddy" among the historical greats.
A wonderful book with imagination and high values. I recommend it highly.
