This game was fun! I enjoy the regular Nancy Drew PC games, so I finally bought this one during a sale. (Always wait for a sale!) I liked playing all the mini-games without the long dialogue and walking sequences of the regular games. I prefered this story line over Lights, Camera, Curses, and I have even gone back to play several of the mini-games after I completed the mystery. Will it feel different than the regular games? Yes, however, if you like to play search and find or puzzle games you will probably enjoy the Nancy Drew Dossier series.

I have played every Nancy Drew PC game HER Entertainment created. Originally, my young granddaughter played with me during her weekly visits, About the time Game #24, The Captive Curse came out her interests centered more on school, and spending time with her friends...big surprise right LOL. But I was 'hooked' on Nancy Drew and continued to acquire the games as they were released.
This game was a 'throwback' in terms of graphics, sound, plot, and complexity. A totally different game and best suited to play with a child, who is just learning to use the computer and mouse. Did not totally 'dis' the product, but for me, I was expecting more, and it was a total waste of time and money.

if you like playing the same mini-games over and over again-this is for you-nothing creative about this game-i always enjoyed playing nancy drew-but this new format is horrible-creating the facials had nothing to do with the game and was just silly-disarming the bombs-hated it-did not mind the maze-at least i could use my brain and remember where i was going and how i got there-the characters were all annoying-very disappointed in this nancy drew

As a "die hard" Nancy Drew fan, I was very surprised to find that I thoroughly enjoyed the Dossier series. I honestly thought they would be a bit silly and a disappointing alternative to the "real" Nancy Drew PC games. I was glad to find that they were still engaging, even if not as challenging as the regular series. They are good if you just want a game to occupy your mind for a while. It probably took me about 4 hours altogether, working on it here and there throughout the week. All in all, it's a good buy as a direct download.

This was my first Nancy Drew game and it was lots of fun. I wasn't sure if I'd be able to remember whatever I had to but it worked out great until the time for the statues in the garden. That was tedious and frustrating.
