The new Prestige pro series pro665rsib-2 gas grill comes with 8 burners in total, & can grill up to 42 hamburgers at once. That's not those wimpy, freezer burned, store bought ones, but large & juicy, hand made, 4" patties. But you're grilling on a pro series grill! you're not going to be making burgers, unless you're hosting the most amazing block party ever. You're going to be grilling Gourmet meals on the 9.5mm, stainless steel wave cooking grids. While you're busy grilling up the perfect steak, or slow grilling the perfect roast, you can cook amazing side dishes on the ceramic infrared side burner. Not just for quickly searing the perfect steak, the ceramic brick heats to 1,800 Degree in just over 30 S & can be used to make sauces, boil water, & even saute.

First: When I ordered the grill it was shipped via FedEx freight. This was never mentioned anywhere along the way. FedEx freight only delivers Monday - Friday 10AM - 1PM so I had to take a day off work. A woman from FedEx called and said they were delivering the grill tomorrow. I took the day off and no grill. I got a call that said bad weather caused the delay. (Not their fault but annoying.) She called back this time after the grill actually showed up and scheduled the delivery again. I arranged for a neighbor to sign for it. Then it was delivery day and I got a call from the driver while I was in a meeting at work. The voice mail said, 'I am about 10 minutes from your house and wanted to make sure I can get an 18 wheeler down your road.' I call the guy back who had been waiting at the top of my road because you absolutely can_not get a truck that large down my road. He tells me that I will be charged if he has to take the delivery back to FedEx and that I was also going to be charged a second fee for the delay where he had to wait on me. I ended up calling yet another neighbor who drove to the delivery guy with a trailer and received the package for me....
Second: The instructions for putting this grill together are terrible. It comes mostly assembled however, there are are several panels and parts that are not referenced in the install instructions at all, or as is the case for the side burner the gas hookup instructions are for the 500 series. The 665 is built different. It took me a little over an hour to do what should have been a 20 min job because I had to keep guessing at what to do.
Now on to the grill: This thing is a freaking rock star of grills. I thought the lights were going to be a gimmick because I previously had a grill with similar lights and felt that way about them. However, these lights are actually bright enough to really light things up and see what you are doing. Especially when you are cooking in the dark because it took an extra hour to put the thing together. They also bothered to add a light in the under cabinet which was a nice touch. It came up to temperature really fast which was actually something consumer reports dinged them for. It only took about five minutes for the grill to hit 700+ degrees. That's more than reasonable in my book for something this large. It heated very evenly and there is a significant amount of adjustment to controls for changing the amount of flame you have . I am also very please with how much room there is when you shut the lid. It makes it so the upper rack is actually viable cooking space. Also, there is plenty of room with the lid down for larger items to be put on the rotisserie. Note: I have not yet used the rotisserie so I am don't have feed back yet on if the motor is strong enough to turn something like a turkey or suckling pig but you better believe it's on my list to try. there is more than enough physical room to accommodate items that large.
It is a large grill with a huge cooking area - the lights are a nice touch.
The searing section is awesome - worked as described and my first attempt at cooking three steaks turned out perfect. I also bought several Napoleon accessories which I have yet to try out - expect for the grill cover which is very well made & designed!!
My last grill (different brand) lasted about 9 years with regular usage; now, with the Napoleon warranty, this should last (and look good) for many years to come; I would purchase again and may do so for my other home.
Some of the parts of the grill did not fit together very well and for $3100 I expect things to fit properly.
The cover on the sear burner would not close and stay closed.
There is a large chip in the porcelain of the sear burner (side burner).
The smoker tray doesn't stay closed.
The drip tray for the sear/side burner is ridiculously small.
The knobs are all wobbly and don't feel solid.
I would have loved to give this grill a 4 star rating but customer service and fit and finish are important on such a costly item. The grill does perform as expected. The grill is easy to cook with and comes up to temperature very quickly. I purchased the natural gas version and it was very easy to connect to my gas line. I had one stubbed out a few years back when I remodeled my home. I like the quick disconnect gas line, very handy. I will disconnect from gas when I go in vacation to ensure the knobs don't get accidentally turned on and have a gas leak.
I would consider purchasing again and I will modify my rating if their customer service team takes care of the issues.
But for now, this grill gets a 2 star rating.
