Ok for all you Naruto Games Fans, just ignore this review, because you already know this stuff. Suffice to say, I really enjoy this game and Im writing this review for the newcomers who might not have ever played a Naruto fighting game and may find themselves confused or frustrated after the first fight. First of all, the controls arent too complicated, as you dont have a million options to choose from. There is Attack, Tools, Chakra, Gaurd, Jump, Assist 1 and Assist 2. You can use various combinations of these buttons to do various other things. I HIGHLY SUGGEST you make your way to practice mode and get a feel for the button layouts, because you might not be comfortable with the default control settings and you have full control to find your perfect layout. However long it takes, please take the time to do so and make sure to write it down somewhere, because if you have other people who play your game like i do, everybodys gonna change the controls to their own liking. Also, while in the story mode, there are no options for changing the buttons, you have to go all the way back to the main screen to get to those options. That said, moving on.
Now the most important thing you should know about the Ultimate Ninja Storm series games, is that although they seem like a fun button mashers, they are in fact, not. These games are about skill. It would be very wise to view the tutorials and find any info online about each chapter. There are always special win conditions. You can't just attack enemies head on and think you can just keep spamming easy combos. Get used to using Substitution Jutsu instinctively when enemies attack you. Camera angles arent necessarily a hinderance in this game, but when youre doing combos, try to guess which way the "enemy" may be dashing or the direction the "camera" might be swinging, because sometimes you can prolong your combos that way. The action can be so fast paced at times, you may even forget to use your partners or use your extra items, which arent always available in every match, but when they are available, can often mean the difference of winning or losing, so like, don't forget to use them.
