I haven't read the book yet - this is about what you actually receive. The picture shows the book quite large with a smaller stuffed animal. What you actually receive is an approximately 4x6" book - the same size as the stuffed animal. This, of course, doesn't diminish the content of the book, but you are mislead as to what you will get.

I had a friend who didn't believe narwhals exist so I got her this. Being in college didn't stop her from enjoying (and believing) and it was a pretty cute looking plush. I would recommend this to children as well since the mini book contained a decent amount of information but most of all the plush is awesome.

I got this for a friend's child that likes going to the zoo and learning about the animals. This book includes pictures of baby narwhals, shows potential predation by orcas, and the gives lots of information. The pictures are painted (I believe), but are very high quality and almost make you want to go for a swim yourself!

The book text is a bit thick for the child I bought it for (3 yrs old), but I hope it will stick with him for awhile. It's a bit long for a typical bedtime story, but great for learning about narwhals without being overbearing. I highly recommend it.
