Children are our best hope for a better future and knowing American history is a vital foundation. Meredith McGee helped me with a profile of James Meredith based on her book and she has now taken the vital, educational, and even entertaining message of African American history in the South to another audience--not only kids, but their parents, who should be inspired to be involved in civics and politics.

I personally met the author! I fell in love with her! I received a copy of her book. I really enjoyed this read!!! I really loved the character, Nashida! Also, I'm a huge history lover! So traveling with Nashida, I was about to learn more about the State Capitol of Mississippi. Reading this book, Nashida taught me how I need to get out more, learn more about history, and share it with others! Thanks, Ms. Meredith! Great job!!!
