Blog postI have been a fan of Gabby Allan since long before she was Gabby Allan, and because I have carefully cultivated my contacts in the business of fiction (in other words, we live in the same town and I buy her tea every few weeks 😉) I got to read her debut mystery prior to its release, and it's everything I love most about her books. (I'm being a little cagey here, with oblique references to her alternate personality 😁) The humor and fun are at the top of the list, with characters who fee1 year ago Read more

Blog postSome cats at my day job.Hello there!
I know. It's been a minute, as they say. I stopped having so much to say, and social media took over the little bits I did have. And, I mean, who blogs anymore, amirite?
Well, today I do. Because I wanna. Because I connected with people here once, and after a year where people struggled to connect (or connected too much—Zoom OMG), it seemed fitting to go old-school.

Blog postAs you may recall, last year I embarked on a new venture with four other authors. Misty Simon, Vicky Burkholder, Victoria Smith, Allison B. Hanson, and I all started with the same first sentence to write five independent stories.
It was really cool to see that while we wrote wildly different types of stories—from college students to married couples to space pilots—there were some overlapping themes and concepts. And of course, because they're all romances, they all end happily.

Blog postHey, everybody! *waves* Remember me?
I don't like to be one of those people contributing to our ruin due to limited attention spans, but since this blog has been soooo stagnant, it's obvious I've also been corrupted by social media. I stopped having topics to talk about in this "long" form that I hadn't talked about before.

Blog postMany, many years ago, I read a series by Maggie Shayne that contained a really evil villain. Who got a story of her own. That I loved. I couldn't believe I could hate someone so much and then come to understand them and root for them to find some happiness. The skill she used to make me feel that way awed me, and I never forgot it.

I have to say, mine has started SO much more satisfyingly than 2015 in its entirety.
In 2015, I only had one new book release, plus a short story. Okay, sure, I also re-issued three books and a short story or two. And I wrote 150,000 new words and edited over 2,000 pages. But for the entire year, I felt as if I wasn't getting anywhere.

Blog postThis was the first New Year's Eve that we had no kids in the house. It was anticlimactic. We didn't do anything differently, really. We made party pizzas (tradition) and watched some TV. Talked to the girls, who were together up in Boston, cuddling on the couch while they watched Friends and waited for the ball to drop. (My heart squeezes.)

Facing impossible choices, they are eventually forced to confront them, as well as each other and their own weaknesses. Making the wrong decisions will put their lives, careers, and relationship at risk.
Marley Canton is done being a victim. A year and a half has passed since she discovered her ability to nullify power in those who aren’t supposed to have it. She’s now on a quest not only to stop the brats who’ve become addicted to goddess power, but also to find the source of their addiction.
Like Marley, Gage Samargo is tracking down the goddess who went rogue decades ago. Insane with too much power from the sun, she’s selling that energy to Gage’s younger brother and his friends, who are no longer content to come into power naturally. While they work to find a way to neutralize the goddess, Marley discovers that every time she nullifies someone, she takes on some of the goddess’s insanity.
Gage falls for Marley’s sharp wit and intense desire to right wrongs. But once he discovers she’s turning into her enemy, is it too late to back away?
The world is not what Riley Kordek imagined. On the run from those who’ve targeted her, all Riley wants is a chance to figure out her new ability to bend metal’s energy. When a hot guy who knows more than he should helps her escape her attackers, she thinks she might’ve found someone who can lead her to the answers she needs.
Three years ago, Sam Remington walked away from his employer and the woman he loved, and now, all he’s looking to do is fill the gaping hole left behind. Except, when Sam takes Riley to the Society for Goddess Education and Defense, the stakes rise beyond what either of them could have imagined.
After being alone for so long, falling for Sam would be far too easy for Riley—and far too painful, once his old flame calls needing his help. Worse, Riley uncovers a plot with disastrous ramifications not only for herself, but for Sam and the people he loves—and potentially every goddess in the country.
But when they arrive with their ship full of scientists, nothing is as they expected. While the new planet is an abundant paradise (for now), they could be trapped there…forever.
That reality pushes Emerald and Wyatt to take their partnership to a new level. But things around them are changing every hour, leaving the future – and their feelings – increasingly uncertain.
Clay Dyer is in Prinny’s Pub for one reason: to stop a catastrophic attack. He’s so focused on his mission he barely notices that Bree doesn’t act like everyone else, following the same steps in a repetitive dance. When the mission goes wrong and she saves him, he can’t help but regret that she won’t remember any of it the next day.
Except she does. And watching people die has changed everything. Bree’s no longer content to ride the river of time in endless circles, and when she confronts Clay, he is shocked to find that she’s not only aware of the time loop, she’s somehow deeply involved.
Now time is running out, with one last chance to put a stop to a bigger conspiracy with enormous potential consequences, and the secrets being uncovered threaten not only Bree’s stable life but the incredible connection developing between her and Clay.
