About the Author

Paul Lyons was born in Australia. He attended Sydney University, and won a scholarship to read English at Cambridge, interpreting Shakespeare from a Tantric perspective, and got kicked out at the end of his first year. He worked as a brick layer and piano player in London. His first novel, The Eden Man, celebrating of the mysticism of manual labour, was a Times Reviewers Book Of The Year and won a Fellowship from the Australia Literature Board. His Kundalini awakening occurred on a frozen footpath in North London, when he encountered the Female Buddha, Vajrayogini, embodied in a beautiful Thai woman. He now lives in Mae Suai, in the mountains of Northern Thailand, teaching English and music in the village school.

Bought it on a whim and I'm glad I did. The book is part fiction, part autobiography and part spiritual text. Amazing.

Format: Paperback
“The void into which I was being drawn was unbearable, but every time I became afraid of it, Natalie exploded in my mind.” A coup de foudre or a spiritual awakening – however you choose to read it, this is a gripping account of a man ambushed by love and sex, who abandons family and security for a beautiful Thai prostitute. Natalie herself is a wonderful creation. Does she love Jim or just want his money? Will they escape with their lives from the dangerous men who exploit her? Are she and Jim heading for tragedy or for safety? You have to read on to find out, and there’s steamy sex and some great comic set pieces along the way.
