The Nathan Runner's Waist Pack is a solid product. With its two pouches, I can easily fit my keys and my small money clip in the tiny mesh-zippered pocket, while keeping my iPhone in the easily accessible larger pouch. (See attached photos.) The material always provides for a comfortable fit. I never seem to have to adjust the strap during my runs. And the stretchy, elastic pouch provides just the right amount of give when you need to cram a little bit more inside of it.
Importantly, this waist pack NEVER bops or bounces around during my runs. I wouldn't even notice it was there if I didn't need to occasionally adjust the volume on my iPod.
The only reason I gave it four stars instead of five is because the reflexive label on the pouch has begun peeling off. Other than that, this is a quality product.
Because her runs sometimes happen when I want to run I figured I’d get my own belt.
Bought thjs belt- noticed right away that the materials have changef - the stretchy neoprene was thinner and overall felt much less robust than the older belt we have. Then within 6 mos it failed. Amazon replaced it and now again it has failed.
Disappointed that such a fine product has lost its quality. The original belt we have is in still doing great. I love it.
The modern version of it is a cheap throwaway piece in comparison.
Photos below show the two bags. Black one is new- Blue one is nearly 20 years old.
I understand that a company has to cut costs to make money- but quality should never be compromised.
I run on average 4 miles a day and only carry an iPhone - nothing else.
These shouldn’t gall apart so fast.
Cons: Keeps hiding from me, gets lost easily, I think it silently judges me and doesn't believe that I can meet my fitness goals. It appears in my dreams and tells me I will die lonely and childless.
But no seriously, this is a pretty awesome running pack.
Not sure why it is called the 5K belt as I use this on my long runs (I ran two marathons last year with this). You can also purchase the Nathan Add-on hydration bottles and they work okay with this too. I will be using it again this running season.
I wish this was waterproof but it protects the phone in a light rain shower.
-lightweight, easy to dry
-fits iPhone 6+ but barely if it has a case
-has two reflector circles on it but it's only good if you wear it on the outside of your clothing
-soft, your phone won't scratch
-has a smaller see-thru pouch on the front for keys
-starting to tear after normal use using a smaller iPhone 5s
This works perfectly for me and carries my Samsung Galaxy S5 in a Otterbox Defender case. It fits it snug enough that the phone doesn't bounce, which was major concern for me. Has a small zippered area for a key, put select wallet items in the main area.
The hi-viz yellow/green color looks great. I actually wear the "belly bag" on my back so it's more of a "butt pack"; the buckle up front.
