This book should be required reading for every American child. The author takes his readers through a well research history of truly great American Republicans who fought for this country dating from John Winthrop to George Washington. This truly is an untold story that places even current topics and scenarios in their proper context.
You will learn everything from why Issac Newton is a fraud to the incredible importance of Alexander Spotswood for the founding of American sovereignty. The classic myth that American Independence came when some people from Massachusetts got angry about a tea tax is also put into proper context. In fact, the drive for an independent republic had ALWAYS been the goal of American patriots dating back to the Winthrop's and the Mather's. This type of history is the most relevant and important for understanding the true history of this country, you won't get bogged down in any silly and trivial non-stories here. Highly recommended.

How customer reviews and ratings work
Customer Reviews, including Product Star Ratings help customers to learn more about the product and decide whether it is the right product for them.
To calculate the overall star rating and percentage breakdown by star, we don’t use a simple average. Instead, our system considers things like how recent a review is and if the reviewer bought the item on Amazon. It also analyzed reviews to verify trustworthiness.

- Reviewed in the United States on December 9, 2018The United States of America is not the result of a tax revolt. Mr. Lowry documents the intentions of early leaders of especially Massachussets and Virginia, to develop a continental society based upon both technological progress and humane ideas regarding the nature of Man. A very deep philosophical fight was ongoing in the century before 1775-76. I highly recommend this book to all Americans.
- Reviewed in the United States on December 25, 2019This is an amazing, eye-opening history, unique research on how our Puritans fought the mighty British Empire--the American System against the British System, our Constitutional Republic against the Parliamentary Democracy for which our Founders were willing to give their lives. The fight still goes on today. Every American should read this book.
