It's a great charger

There have to be some pretty compelling reasons to spend $60 on a phone charger and then another $15 or $20 to buy a plug to go with it. Ease of use and quality are two good reasons. Plus, it's something you only buy once, and it should last a long time. This charger is heavy for its size. It won't slide around due to its rubberized grip. It actually looks nice too. And most importantly it works great and it's effortless to use. It has a fairly strong magnet that "sucks" the phone right where it should be to charge. You don't have to move the phone all over trying to find the "right spot". A tiny indicator light tells you the phone is charging, and then you just pick the phone up off the base, and the base doesn't move. It's a charger you can use daily without having to think about it, and it looks and works great.

I had a previous (non-magnetic) wireless charger from Native Union that I used for years. It eventually stopped working reliably, so I got this as a replacement.

As expected, design and materials are top-notch. Native Union is known for both, and this product delivers. It's attractive on my desk (I use it mostly for AirPods and to top off my phone, on occasion) and feels solid to the touch. Very solid--in fact, this could serve as a paperweight, if you wanted. Between the weight and a significant rubber(ish?) "foot," the charger can be left on your desk without fear that the weight of the cable will pull it off.

Charging speed is advertised as a super-fast 15W. It seemed fast enough for me, just keep in mind that your phone or other wireless device is going to throttle down from 15W if it isn't built to handle that speed (or even if it starts to overheat, etc.). Fast charging wasn't super important for my use case. If it is for you, this may be a good product--although wired charging is always going to be faster and more reliable.

A USB-C to USB-C cord is included. Both my laptop and my dock have open USB-C ports, but keep in mind that this could be a problem if your intended use doesn't include a free USB-C port. The cable, itself, is braided and attractive--it feels heavy-duty. Unfortunately, the cable doesn't come with a built-in wrap like my prior Native Union charger did.

The product gets a rating ding of one star for omitting a wall plug. This omission is clear from the product description (or it would have warranted more than a single star ding!), so I certainly cannot claim surprise. It is nevertheless disappointing for a premium product to have such a glaring omission--it is a $60 charger that cannot, on its own, do any charging. These days, charging ports and multiport plugs are ubiquitous, so it may not be an issue for most (and one might argue it is environmentally unfriendly to include a plug that will not be used by all users). In the end, I would be okay with the omission if the product was less expensive.

So, my verdict is to SCOOP IT, if you are looking for a wireless charger (particularly with MagSafe compatibility) for your desk or nightstand and you have a USB-C port handy.

Native Union makes the best iPhone accessories on the market, hands-down. This latest product, a MagSafe compatible charger meant for any MagSafe enable device (iPhone 12, 13) is easily the best iPhone charger I’ve ever used. Before MagSafe, charging an iPhone wirelessly was always a risk. If you didn’t align the phone perfectly, it wouldn’t charge. I can’t tell you the number of times I’ve woken up to a phone with almost no battery left because I didn’t place it in the perfect spot the night before. But with this MagSafe charger that will never be an issue for me again!

The charger itself is weighted, so it doesn’t get lifted off the table when you pick up your phone. You can actually remove the phone from the magnetic charger with one hand—gasp! And there’s a rubbery texture on the underside of the charger so it doesn’t slide around. And if you haven’t used one of Native Union’s braided USB-C cables, you’re missing out. They’re incredible.

Sure this is a premium product. But you get what you pay for. This is a product that literally makes my life better. Can’t recommend it enough! Love this charger.

This is a unique product. It’s basically a MagSafe charger, but it’s built like a tank. Seriously, just picking up the package will make you realize this has some serious heft. It feels very premium all around, with good quality materials that seem durable. The design is smart and conscientious because it’s meant to just be placed on your desk and (most importantly) stay there. It’s size, weight, and thickness means it’s easy to remove your phone one handed without moving the charger too much. It doesn’t sound like much, but if you’ve dealt with other MagSafe chargers before, you’ll immediately recognize the value in this product.

The price is a little off-putting considering it’s basically double the cost of an official Apple charger, but I personally think the quality makes it worth it. Also, it’s MFi certified and everything so it basically has Apple’s seal of approval.

Overall, great product. I own many, many MagSafe devices and this is one of my favorites. Highly recommended.

A good quality charger, of a decent weight. Only problem for me, I use a wallet case, it takes a bit of doing to find the sweet spot to allow a charge.
The item is supplied with a USB-C to USB-C charge cable, but no charger. You need a separate charger. I use the the Apple 20W which is excellent. The supplied cable is not very durable. Mine failed after a while and I now use an Apple cable. That set the item itself is great and would buy again

Seit einiger Zeit, gibt es bei Smartphones die praktische MagSafe Option welche ein magnetisches Laden der Geräte ermöglicht. Was sich einerseits nett anhört hat auch einen praktischen Aspekt denn ein zusätzliches Ladekabel entfällt hiermit.

Genau hierfür möchte der Anbieter “Native Union“ ein MagSafe kompatibles Ladegerät anbieten, welches aber nicht nur MagSafe kompatible Geräte laden möchte sondern auch gewöhnliche Geräte durch eine Kabel Anbindung aufladen will.

Verpackt kommt das Ladegerät in einer optisch interessanten und modern wirkenden Pappschachtel. Nach dem auspacken, befindet sich neben dem eigentlichen Ladegerät, eine Anleitung und ein USB-C zu USB-C Aufladekabel welches mit einem Stoff ummantelt ist.

An der Wertigkeit des Ladegerätes, lässt auch das erste anfassen nicht zweifeln denn dieses wirkt massiv und bringt mit einem Gewicht von knapp 265 Gramm doch so einiges auf die Waage. Was mir gut gefällt ist das lange und mit Stoff ummantelte USB-C Ladekabel welches mit einer Länge von 2 Metern auch wirklich einiges anbieten kann.

Die eigentliche Ladeeinheit, kann 7,5 Watt für MagSafe Geräte und bis zu 15 Watt (5 Watt bei AirPods) für andere Qi fähige Geräte anbieten. Somit gelingt das aufladen sehr schnell und überzeugt mich.

Auch optisch ist die 8cmx8cm Ladeeinheit ein recht unauffälliger Hingucker. Wenn das iPhone geladen wird, sieht man vom Ladegerät fast nichts und sollte sich das Gerät nicht darauf befinden, kann das Moderen Design in meinen Augen punkten… SEHR GUT….

Das magnetische Ladegerät kann mich von seiner Funktionsweise und von der Optik überzeugen. Zwar sind 60 Euro nicht ganz günstig aber die Wertigkeit des Ladegerätes kann sich sehen lassen. Wer ein schlichtes aber dennoch funktionsstarkes Gerät sucht, dürft hier fündig werden. Von meiner Seite 5 Sterne und eine Weiterempfehlung….
