Here's a few lil recommendations btw which helped us IMMENSELY if you do have an itchy lil guy:
1) Please look into a quality limited ingredient/grain free kibble - this is most important! Meat should be the first ingredient!
2) Use the SAME meat between food and treats- ours does well with lamb, and does horribly with chicken, beef, and duck - but all dogs are different). Find yours.
3) Couple the kibble with these treats (limited ingredients) and give NO OTHER TREATS
4) NO beef rawhides and NO other chews laden with chemicals. We buy naturally dried lamb ears (here on amazon actually as we can't find it in pet stores- even the big chains). It keeps puppy busy for a while and is good for his teeth so we don't deny him of chews/hide completely. ONLY lamb ears for chewing.
4) Find a quality supplement like "NuPro" powder, and give pup the recommended dosage for up to 6 month at a time. I mix it in with his kibble with a bit of water like a gravy, OR mix divided doses in with coconut oil in ice cube trays and refrigerate. This keeps pups mouth WHITE :)
5) Finally, keep up with gentle medicated baths. We use a chlorhexidine (disinfectant and antiseptic which keeps yeast, fungus, and germs at bay) shampoos, or a regular pup shampoo and mixx our own chlorhexidine in, but obviously takes a little more research on how much to add, etc.
.... and watch the magic happen. I hope this helps.
Our pup is THRIVING, and is no longer our sad itchy pup chewing at his paws :)
Good luck!
I don't write too many reviews but this should be said. We have two large Labs who are 1.5 years and 8 months. The older one developed allergies which was getting costly. We didn't know if it was pollen or his food (Nutro). He had a skin rash that would come and go, thinned fur on his chest and he'd pick at his legs and paws and make them red. When winter came, the pollen/grass was gone and the doctor recommended LIT foods and specifically this brand. We went for the Salmon Fish variety for cost and had good luck with other salmon treats in the past which helped keep coats shiny.
I bought these treats as a supplement because we had to experiment for 8 weeks limiting him to only this food to investigate whether he had an allergy to the food. I figured the treats were the same food , just in a cookie form... I WAS WRONG. We started getting Diarrhea in both dogs even though the younger one was still on Nutro puppy food. We cut out these treats and no more gas or diarrhea. I read the ingredients yesterday and discovered the treats have a large amount of CANE MOLASSES... ie SUGAR! Why the heck you'd put sugar in any dog treats is beyond me but to put it in LIT treats is just plain stupid. Dogs shouldn't have sugar.... The treats have some fish in them but are mostly potatoes and sugar. More cane molasses than fish in these... Now I'm stuck with two bags of this garbage.
I have to think this is a fluke with Natural Balance and maybe some other company makes their treats as their food is excellent. We have completely solid stools on the basic LIT fish and sweet potato food and our Lab's hair is growing back with no skin problems. We have both dogs on the food now out of convenience, just started that this week after 3 weeks into the experiment. The puppy is now 75lbs so I don't think he needs the puppy food anymore.
Do not buy these... even if you have no immediate affects of diarrhea and gas, your dog doesn't need sugar. We were only giving them between 1-3 of the treats a day too... Natural balance has a new line of LIT crunchy treats on their site without the sugar.. maybe they are transitioning..
This is the first time I have actually seen my Belgian have to lay down and focus on eating the treat. He is actually enjoying it and not eating it just cause it’s there. My Chihuahua on the other hand, has a little mouth, and I do my best to break it in 2 for him. He takes both pieces and hides behind my recliner or under my bed to enjoy it without big boy snagging it.
I am glad that these are made with sweet potatoes, protein, molasses, and venison. Most are made with beef, chicken…glad to see a break from the norm.

Not sure I would pay over $5 though. But I decided to only buy quality treats and food for my dogs. And they are made in USA which I like because of the suspected poisoning of dogs with Chinese irradiate treats lately. Although my dogs were getting Chinese treats until I read about the problems without any problem, I rather be safe then sorry.

keep purchasing these in different flavours and great price as well
