This would be a 5 star product for me if not for concerns about "made in India" on the tag of a baby product. The blankets have a good texture and are versatile--make a good swaddle blanket in hot weather as well as cover when we're nursing. I also like that it is big enough to be layered according to how hot it is or isn't or for me to grab an end to wipe some spit-up in a pinch. The problem is that this is a baby product, and I keep trying (with mostly minimal success) to buy truly non-toxic products for my baby. Because the organic certification addresses the production process and not the toxicity of the final product, an "organic" product may not be safer when it is produced in a highly polluted context. Unfortunately "highly polluted" is a good descriptor of the waters of India and China, two leading producers of "organic" cotton. So... if you looking at a product like this, you are probably motivated by similar factors and would want to include that in your consideration. For non-baby use, I think it is fantastic to support "organic" products from highly polluted places, because that will help it become less polluted! Peace and hope to us all and here's hoping we can keep moving the market toward safer products for ourselves and our environment...

I love these blankets! I had bought 2 with my daughter 4 years ago. We had a garage fire, and they were both in the car in my diaper bag. These are expensive, but I think they're worth it! I bought another set of 2 for my son who was born on November 1st 2018. I would recommend these. They are soft, beautiful, cool and kindof see through for summer, and warm when doubled up. They are organic, unbleached, and feel so natural. Cotton is one of the dirtiest crops in the world, full of pesticides, and then chemicals to bleach it. I really love these and use them all the time, every day. They're not perfectly soft, but still nice and soft. I hang them or lay them out to dry so they don't wrinkle up on the edges or shrink, and then usually tumble for just a moment on air dry.

I love my Aden & Anais blankets and thought these might be comparable...they really aren't. These are much thinner and got pilly after I washed them. That being said, they are quite large and are much softer than my A & A's. They're good for super hot weather because they're so thin and breathable, but other than that I don't use them much.
