BEST WOUND HEALER! and i mean the best!

my dog had a horrific wound on her neck, big and deep/. basically 3 inches wide, and about 4 inches around her neck. skin completely ripped off, and hanging on one end. well, it happened at 1am of course so i had no place to take her. (i live deep in the stix). BUT i have good kowledge of pet care and have tons of supplies. so first i placed her under sink and flushed it. very hard cuz major pain, BUT you have to get and keep wound spotlessly clean. then i sprayed a clorhexidine solution-veterinary strength on the wound. let that sink in for 1 hour. then i squeezed honey on the whole wound. i also gave her antibiotics right off the bat. (cephalexin) which i always have on had. plus a vet strength pain med-tramadol, and also vet strength antiinflammatory0(rimadyl) always have them all on hand. BOTTOM line you have to have the oral meds. antibiotics and pain management of course, BUT using the honey twice daily after the cleansing routine omg so much healing. on day ?6 a big blob of disgusting dead tissue came off in tub 9after she shook to get dry). it was tissue that finally came lose as opposed to the vet cutting it all off. it came off and underneath pretty pink, new healing tissue. i know the honey did wonders! will continue using honey for wounds, just ordered another 32 oz bottle. EXCELLENT even for massive wounds! (PS- was always prepared to take her to vet, pay ? 600 dollars ish to fix her, but wanted to see if i could handle this) ***washing the wound is number 1. you have to be able to flush it too, not dab it off. best thing is to use a hose, or a kitchen sprayer. that really cleans a wound plus the vibration of the water starts healing process!

While I prefer Nate’s honey in the plastic container, it came to mind to give the pouch a whirl. Same great honey—I’m just not sold on the pouch packaging arrangement. Perhaps it makes me feel like an astronaut or like I’m prepping for a zombie apocalypse. I just don’t know. Was Nate pressured into a pouch? Has Nate also started cutting his hair differently?
