I got this as a gift for my wife, but it turns out it was a gift for the whole family, and by whole family, I mean her, my dog, and my cat. We live in the Pacific Northwest and Nov-Mar don't get nearly as much sun as usual. Now, while my wife is sitting down and doing her coursework, the cat and dog will pile in next to her and edge each other out for a spot in front of the light! We are all very pleased with it.

I'd been suffering from sleep problems for the last 4-5 years. I ran on a 25/26 hour cycle, meaning that I would sleep longer than average (~10 hours a night) and not feel tired at night. In addition I often felt drowsy in the afternoon and took frequent naps. I only felt awake and alert during bedtime.

At the beginning of this year I decided that enough was enough. I took a semester off from college to search for ways to improve my sleep schedule. Before my semester off, I was already trying many different things, including 1) regular exercise 2) melatonin at night 3) coffee in the afternoon 4) walks in the sunlight 5) CPAP machine for my sleep apnea. These things certainly helped to some extent, but the problem remained. During my semester off, I tried 1) eating smaller meals 2) eating foods low in FODMAPS 3) palatal expansion surgery for sleep apnea (this was how I justified taking a semester off to my university) 4) the Flux app on my computer 5) this light box.

I am happy to report that of all the methods I tried, using this light box has probably been the most effective. After I wake up every morning, I use it for 15-30 minutes while checking emails on my phone. I place the box around 5 feet away from my face and make sure that the light enters my eyes at their periphery (i.e. I don't stare at the box directly). After using the box I have far more energy in the daytime, meaning that I am more productive at appropriate hours (i.e. I can go to class without falling asleep). Since I have more energy during the day, I don't need to take naps, which means that I fall asleep more easily at night. In other words this box helps with both staying awake and falling asleep! Amazing!

Of course, I realize that sleeping problems can have many different causes. Light therapy might not be the answer in your specific case. I think that you should, like me, tackle the problem from many different angles. Poor sleep affects literally every single aspect of your life - time, energy, mood, sociability, alertness, focus, intelligence, etc. Therefore taking time to tackle the problem (in my case, even taking a semester from school!) is DEFINITELY worth it.

P.S. At first I was skeptical of light therapy. I thought, "Why not just take a walk outside? Isn't that already light therapy?" I'm no light/physics expert, but apparently light boxes like these emit special high frequency light that is more effective in waking people up. Well regardless of the reason, all I know and care about is that this light box worked for me, and it may work for you. It's worth a shot at least.

NatureBright is not just some random "fake" type of sun product out there. This is a truly special and meaningful product which will be appreciated by an avid Amazon Prime shopper like myself. I spend a ton of time researching products and before I ever make a purchase. Sometimes, I honestly go through 10-15 pages before I ever make up my mind and purchase a product. I researched only the top Amazon Therapy Lamps out there and realized that most of them are very similar more or less. With an exception of this one. This is really the only one that I was able to find that seems to have a really unique quality, design, style, and overall sleek look.

This NatureBright SunTouch Plus Light and Ion Therapy Lamp is truly something that helps to balance your body clock in winter, leave your feelings energized, rejuvenated, and simply nice to have at home, especially in winter! The product is amazing and gives a nice natural remedy for winter months and winter cold while boosting the energy levels, in my opinion.

It is really nice & convenient to have such natural product at home whenever you might need it & especially in case your work hours are unique. I also enjoy turning it on in the mornings when waking up and since it is lightweight, I can even move it around a bit when I get ready......

The therapy lamp comes with some beautiful perks such as, timer and others. Consequently, this makes it so wonderful to use on a daily basis & even before going to bed, in case you need some nice little extra shot of energy and fall asleep nice and comfortably without worrying about turning it off or that it will break. You can set a timer for 15, 30, 45, or 60 minutes. The construction is sturdy, solid and relatively lightweight--making it a really convenient product to even carry it around from place to place.

The product dimensions are 9 x 6 x 13 in and the weight is about 1 pound or so. As you can see, this makes it a really wonderful little & lightweight product for me to carry around when needed.

Also, just a side note: when you look at the negative reviews, they do not seem to have a common theme and therefore I was not too worry about it. I would have totally be willing to pay more for this NatureBright "sun touch" and just love how sturdy this product is as well. Like one can see from my photos, I am very excited to show this product and let other people that research products as much as I do, have a thoughtful, full review.

Overall, I cannot thank NatureBright eloquently enough & really believe that my observation of reviews and not buying the first product I saw resulted in this amazing result-this amazing product!!!! Also, as you can see from the pictures, it looks pretty fashionate in my opinion as it has a simple, yet really nice & effective design.

Would recommend this product to anyone & so far, I love this therapy lamp!! Will buy again and will try to refer my friends and family to this product and company because it is not cheap like the other lamps that I have researched and is high quality.
