Review of NatureWise OmegaWise Krill Oil. First of all, I applaud Amazon
with quick shipment and easy returns, the primary reason why I stick with
them. I ordered it on October 28th and received the product on the 30th.
have been taking two soft gels which is the recommended serving and amounts
to 1000 mg of krill oil; for 16 days now. This amounts to 220 mg of Omega 3
Fatty Acids, 120 mg of EPA, and 56 mg of DHA. Phospholipids are 400 mg. I
like the fact that this product contains no binders, fillers, preservatives,
wheat, gluten, soybean, dairy, eggs, nuts, steatites, silica or titanium
oxide. The gel capsules are small and easy to swallow. Upon opening the
bottle the smell is unpleasant but tolerable. Each day I take it the "fishy
smell has all but disappeared and has a nice vanilla scent to it. There is
no aftertaste, fish burps, or heart burn (at least what I've experienced
so far). The main reason most people take krill verses the Omega 3 caps is
the bioavailability of the product; Krill Omegas are bound to phospholipids
as opposed to triglcerides, so the efficacy of absorption is better. So
krill capsules are smaller and more concentrated with Omega 3, thus easier
to swallow than regular fish oil capsules.The product does not contain
astaxanthin which many people look for in krill oil because it is a
antioxidant and anti-inflammatory present in krill oil only. It contains 400
mg of phospholipids, which are important for the facilitation of the
absorption of the EPA and DHA by the cells. DHA helps with mental acuity and
EPA helps the heart and circulatory system, and is said to help with
depression and mood stabilization. Omega 3 helps to decrease aches and
pains, as well as inflammation. I have experienced a notable increase in
energy, skin clarity, and mental clarity. I have a better short term
memory.My niece commented on how my skin looked "different" like it had a
luminescence or radience to it. Overall, I will continue taking it and give
another review down the road. I purchased it for a great price, $29.00 for
120 soft gels on Amazon-so a 60 day supply at a great price!
