So I got diagnosed with COVID. Best two weeks of my life. Lost my taste of taste/smell, go to the doctor, boom COVID. Two week quarantine with my buddy at his place= two week paid vacation from work to drink beer and play video games. No other symptoms but the taste and smell thing. This isn't about COVID though its about the product.
I took this coupled with a dosage of Vitamin-D3 and I felt healthy as an ox in no time, taste and smell came back after a few days too. I was able to enjoy my foods and beverages again.

This is a round tablet. It's not coated so it dissolves easily , but it may be harder for some people to swallow. It's important to take vitamin C in smaller doses so you absorb it. Taking 1000 mg at once means most of it will go right through you. I take this one twice a day to help with my skin, nails (it helps produce collagen) and my immune system. According to consumerLabs, there are studies that suggest it might provide future protection from Alzheimer's, strokes, heart (atrial fibrillation), and improve blood pressure. Nature's Bounty was one of their top picks for Vitamin C higher dose. Taking extra vitamin C is especially important for anyone who smokes.

Every Winter like clock work I get either the flu or a cold no matter how hard I try to avoid it like the plague. But living in New York City it's very hard to do especially when you take public transportation with everybody hacking and breathing in the same air. So upon the advice of a friend I decided to give this brand and Vitamin C a go and let me tell you I have yet to even get a sniffle.

Update: 7/3/18...since taking this as a regular supplement I have not have a cold or flu since writing the original review. The moment I stop taking it and I feel a scratchy throat coming on I take 2 and like magic my scratchy throat is gone.

Ascorbic acid Pults mucus. I went to a Seventh-day Adventist doctor and my children had strep throat and the other throat problem at the same time I wanted him to give them antibiotics instead he gave him vitamin C and said to take it with 8 ounces of water three or four times a day. I was upset because I paid him all that much for him to tell me to go home and take vitamin C for my kids. It’s hard to get vitamin C down kids it had to be a score big acid by the way at that time I didn’t know how why. I bought some in a gummy bears but really couldn’t afford it I bought it in chewable I bought it in liquid etc. for the kids.
But for me it was 1000 mg in 8 ounces glasses of water and it cured all the problems of tonsillitis and strep throat.
They were ahead of the health food store in the area in the hospital and they know what they were doing I have a great respect for this religion because of this. I attended one of their classes also.
But I’m never without vitamin C and this one I like I can keep up with just 500 mg I don’t have to take a large amount as I do when I’m sick.
I like this brand it seems to be doing OK for me.

I've tried a lot of different supplements, and I really enjoy this one. I like the smaller dose (500 mg instead of the usual 1,000 mg I see everywhere), and the pills are super easy to swallow and I think have a nice taste.

As to how effective it is, it seems to work well and give me a boost; but I think this stuff is always hard to really tell with supplements because the effect could only be mental, or placebo.

I know that some people have said they are too big to swallow, but I have not found that to be the case. If they find that, they should just purchase themselves a pill cutter.
