My Rating: 4.5 Stars...

Told in 1st person POV by the heroine, Holly.
Holly Flynn and Anthony Burke...
This was such a great book. Yes it was a little predictable but it was sweet and sinful at the same time. I also loved that it was a Christmas romance, hence, the reason I read it now rather than it getting lost on my growing TBR. That said, I am so glad I didn't wait. Truth is I would have enjoyed this story just as much had it not been Christmas themed. The main characters were amazing. This book was written in Holly's perspective. I admit I was a little disappointed that I didn't get to be inside of Anthony's head. I prefer the written style of a novel to be in both H/h POVs. This was the reason I rated half a point down. But that is just MY preference and not a negative reflection of the authors' talents.
Holly's dream is to become an actress. Since she hasn't reached that goal yet, she is working two low paying jobs to make ends meet, as well as buy Christmas presents for her parents and sister. Holly loves Christmas and loves buying gifts for her family. One of her two jobs is playing the part of Santa's elf at a large retail store. It is here she meets Anthony when he brings his nephew to visit with Santa. Anthony asked Holly to dinner after only a short conversation. Instant attraction... :)
Anthony is a successful, wealthy businessman. He has extremely good looks, all the money he'll ever need and a beautiful apartment. What he doesn't have yet is a woman to share his life with. After only one date with Holly, a relationship forms between them pretty quickly.
There is no angst in this book. It was a wonderful story of love and passion. Holly was a sweet, kind woman. Anthony was the epitome of romantic. I loved him. He was sexy, smooth and dirty talking. I can't think of one negative comment to make about either Anthony or Holly. That said, I would definitely like to read more by either of these authors.
I absolutely recommend this book to anyone looking for a light Christmas romance packed with love, romance and lots of sexy times. ;)
Holly is an amazing girl with so many qualities and has a passion of one day becoming a famous actress. However, with the way her life has turned out, she is working two jobs. One part time, just for the Christmas period as an elf for Santa at a department store and then the rest of her time is spent working at a diner and just about making the money for her bills and rent each month. The last thing that she expected to happen was for an amazingly handsome guy to come and pay attention to her and ask her out on a date. This is the first time that any guy that is way out of her league has ever paid her any attention and all she can think is that this is a one in a life time chance and that she just needs to go for it because she knows that once the next day comes along he would have forgotten all about her…… Or will he. You should pick up this book to see what happens between Holly and Anthony.
Holly Flynn is barely scraping by. She wants to be an actress but hasn’t been able to break in to the business. She is working at a small diner as a waitress and got a Christmas job as Santa’s Elf at Burke’s Department Store. Holly loves Christmas so this was a perfect job for her so she could afford Christmas gifts for her family. It’s while she was in her elf costume working that she met the best looking man she has ever seen and his name was Anthony.
“This guy is one of a kind. My only regret is that I didn’t ask Santa for him sooner.”
These two were perfect. Anthony was definitely swoony. And he treated Holly like a princess. And did I already say he was HOT?! Together these two had sizzling chemistry like crazy.
“Wear whatever you want. I’m only going to take if off anyway,”
The entire story is told from Holly’s point of view. It was sweet, fun, and at times had a little tiny bit of a “Pretty Woman” feel to it. I so love these stories that just make me smile, maybe fan myself a bit, and leave me with all the warm fuzzies I can handle. And this is one of those. I don’t know how I ran across it but I am so glad I did. I most definitely want to read more by this author.
