Purchase options and add-ons
If you prefer your jewelry subtle and serious, you might want to go ahead and set this book back on the shelf. However, if kitschy accessories made with a wink and a smile are your cup of tea, this book will have you on the edge of your chair.
The Naughty Secretary Club is packed with more than 50 kitschy-secretary-themed jewelry projects, plus lots of quirky sidebars covering hot topics such as office romance and the best secretary theme songs to listen to on your lunch break. You'll learn how to use your office supplies in a whole new way - did you know standard office fare, like binder folders and shredded junk mail, makes craftalicious jewelry? Plus, author Jennifer Perkins will teach you how to turn almost anything into a charm, including plastic gnome cake toppers, doll furniture and cast-off hotel keys.
Whatever your day job, you can be a Naughty Secretary in spirit - and in style. So cancel your afternoon meetings, take a break from watching the clock and send yourself a memo to whip up a new paperclip necklace just in time for happy hour!

Jennifer has hosted 2 of her own television programs (Stylelicious and Craft Lab), been a guest on the Rachael Ray Show and appeared in TV ads for Michaels. Jennifer is the former Editor in Chief of Kids Crafts 1-2-3 magazine published by Walmart and has also authored 5 books. - Reviewed in the United States on March 15, 2023This is a previous book I ordered and have referred to it several times for funky and fun inspiration. I have lots of vintage jewelry elements and this gave me many fun ideas to use them. My first fun project was using her ideas for vintage sweater guards and making one with my own design twist to it. The bright colors of inspiration and knowing you can take some funky and fun, even small toys and making them into wearable art. The photography is bright and colorful. The projects you can come up with your own mind and creativity are limitless. I recommend this for easy beginner projects as well as use in an art class setting for kids and adults alike.

- Reviewed in the United States on February 5, 2010This book is cute and the pictures are so entertaining! However, the jewelry is hard to execute well without a LOT of craft store cost. My young teenage kids love it and will probably do some of the projects, but the results for me are a little bit too "homemade."
- Reviewed in the United States on April 17, 2014I love this book! Fun, innovative projects with many from upcycled, commonly found office objects. Ms. Perkins has a delightful sense of off-beat humor and absolutely no respect for authority (as it should be in the situation). The graphics fit right along--colorful, dynamic and amusing. While certainly suitable for adults, I think some of the projects would be fun to turn over to teens or to work on with kids.

- Reviewed in the United States on September 23, 2010I enjoyed this book. The info included was good, the humor was fabulous but unfortunately it isn't the type of things I like to create. So, other than some basic instruction tips and the funny stuff it isn't much use for me personally.

I absolutely loved this wacky book - it gave me so much inspiration. The author uses the strangest things to make some fabulous, fun jewellery. A great gift idea for the crafter in your life!

Quirky designs, funny text dotted about. If you want something different buy it. Classic jewellery it ain't but it's fun so why not!!

Mislead by a review. Not a great craft book.
Amy RigdenReviewed in the United Kingdom on May 31, 20151.0 out of 5 stars How did this even get published??
This book is an absolute abomination. I could not believe some of the atrocities that were inside - that people actually take apart and break beautiful vintage pieces to create these horrors is almost too much to bear! The 'jewellery' that is created is so hideous, I couldn't believe that some people, somewhere actually step outside wearing these things. I am all for being individual and different, but this book almost seems like a joke. Don't subject your eyes to the horror.
