Naura is a phenomenal heroine. She shows great depth of caring and patience while dealing with Tony. She knows literally, thanks to their bond, everything that he has witnessed and felt. She knows what the toll that trauma has taken on him. I don't think Ditter could have written a more perfect heroine for Tony, she was the light to his dark and her love was what pulled him back from the abyss. Most. Romantic. Thing. Ever. Another thing that I adored about Naura was that even though she was the sheltered (both by her parents and older brothers) youngest child of Bracadyte royalty she is not spoiled and selfish. She is beautiful both inside and out. I love how she stood up for herself and asserted her independence instead of hiding in the background where it is safe. She fought to help the people she loved.
Naura picks up where Enigma leaves off and continues with the same intensity. Full of action, intrigue and political machinations with a healthy dose of sexiness thrown in, I guarantee you won't be disappointed!
Now bring on Vaulcron and my man Zaureth!!!
Anthony Vaughn doesn't exist. Having his family tortured before his eyes, and his past erased by the CIA, he no longer has a soul. The last thing he wants or needs is the responsibility of protecting the beautifully naive Naura from a ruthless Government that wants her head. Danger and seduction become a constant companion in a world of intrigue, conspiracy and a deadly epidemic that threatens to destroy them all.
Book 2 of the Enigma series is so very good. I couldn't put this down once I started it. Loved the characters and great storyline. I can't wait to read more......Another hit Ditter, keep them coming!
Anthony “Tony” Vaughn after learning about the government attempt to hide and cover up a nasty virus that is slowly killing off the human race decides to save Henry Sutherland.Tony enlists the help of the bracadyte’s Vaulcron and reluctantly the assistance of Vaulcron’s naïve and beautiful sister Naura. Naura can’t help but feel the strong attraction, desire and lust for Tony knowing in her heart that Tony is her mate and will do everything even risking her own life by surfacing among the land walkers/humans to be close to Tony.
Despite Naura’s wide eye innocence and naïve view of things I still couldn’t help but like her. Usually these types of characters make me roll my eyes but in Naura case she was charming and refreshing really a breath of fresh air. Naura was not scared of Tony’s surly brash hostile demeanor and could stand up for herself. Tony I went through a whole spectrum of either hating him or slap the daylights out of him. I wondered how I am ever going to like Tony when he seriously needed a major attitude adjustment and some happy pills as well. Naura was Tony’s yang to his yin and really they were a good couple just Tony was not so good by himself. I still enjoyed the book immensely that I am curious to find out what happens to Vaulcron, Mallory, Oz and the rest that I can’t wait to read the next installment in the series!
