Ordered smart tab sx from Trim Tab Girl on amazon. Arrived in a flash from those gals. About an hour to install on an Alumacraft Trophy 17. The nylon bolts used in the pivot locations seem inadequate at first but turn out to be fairly tough, I guess I am used to stainless hardware around boats and will change them out at the first sign of fatigue. I used quick set 3m 5200 to seal the screws and injected some into the screw holes before installation. I let everything cure for 24 hours then off to the lake to test. First I want to point out that my Alumacraft was no dog when it came to handling and is as fine and predictable little craft that ever made the waterway. BUT, I could not get over how effortless I got on plane and how well the boat handled. In fact when I slowed down to around 14 mph I was still planing! Bow lift was pretty much eliminated as well. I admit I was skeptical about the claims of increased top end speed but there it was on the gps. 3 mph over my former top speed in a 2 ft. chop. Impressive. The overall feel of the boat changed as well. Cushy is how I would describe it. Like a luxury car sort of thing. My hull is on the rounded side of things and would roll with the waves taken side-on while drift fishing. I was hoping the smart tabs would dampen this effect and they did to a degree. So few things I have bought in the past lived up to the hype that I have become the ultimate product skeptic. In my opinion the manufacturer downplayed the effect the Smart Tabs would have on my boat, for they proved out or exceeded every claim made...in spades. Are these the cure-all/end-all for a poor handling craft? Probably not. But I will go on the record and say they are the best money I have ever spent on any accessory for a boat. There is a huge bang for your buck here.

CAUTION. When selecting the trim tabs for your boat pay no attention to the detailed description. It is not correct much of the time. I ordered the 80 series originally based on length and HP. The correct ones are the 60 series. I verified this with Nauticus via email. Am waiting for an answer as to why the incorrect info has not been corrected as it appears based on other reviews I am not the first to make this mistake. I am currently waiting on the correct ones to arrive but thought it might be nice for others to have this info.

Update 09/26/14 Received the correct trim tabs yesterday. Watched the video for install and went to work. First if you mount the tabs with the hinge flush with the bottom of the boat the holes you drill are way too close to the bottom of the hull. Not a good idea in my opinion. In any event got the hinge mounted on the port side and went to install the actuator when I noticed there was no yoke on the upper end. Looked through my parts and nope not another yoke. Transom brackets but no upper yokes. I then notice another bag called a "Pro Troller Bracket Mounting" which I did not order, and which was not described in the Amazon description. This is a complete different type of transom mount than in the description and will not work on my boat. So right now I'm DIW until I can get the correct parts.
Glad many of you had success but right now if I didn't have holes drilled in my boat for these tabs I would return them in a second and get something that is what it says it is.
Sorry guys but you just lost another star and I'm not really sure at this point why I'm giving you two.

Update 10/01/2014 Called Amazon early Monday and told of the issue in great detail. They said they would get another order out ASAP with the correct trim tabs.

I had a 1997 Seadoo Challenger 1800 with dual engines. Boat weighs about 2000 pounds. I called Nauticus before buying. Recommended the 30 pound nitrogen cylinder but didn't know if it would work on my boat. I had to cut the shocks shorter by about 3 inches because were too long. Also as I had read, but had to see for myself, they absolutely cut out reverse on the dual nozzles because the water stream pushes on the topside of the tabs and had a slight forward motion while in reverse. I reversed the blocks on the nozzles, then it acted like neutral in reverse. One amazing improvement was to be able to steer better at low speeds like 1-2 mph. It did seem to change plan speed from about 30 mph to about 24 mph on the lowest of 5 adjustment settings, but I found out by surprise when testing top speed that as soon you cross another wake or other low waves, the front of the boat slams into the water. Scared-surprised my wife and I had an earful to stop right away.

Our 2008 Q4 Tahoe always had a hard time planing, maintaining a straight course, and "porpoised" like crazy. These solved all these problems! It was like driving a new boat. Only problem is that they have to be raised before trailering because our skegs extend right underneath them. Also, I can't use the trailer eyeholes for the straps because, the straps would then extend over the tabs. Just a few inconveniences for a major ride difference!

I ordered these, and they are infact the Pro Trollers with the metal brackets. Amazon must have fixed this issue.
Looks like it comes with both transom brackets so you have the option to install regularly, or with the Pro Troller brackets to lock them in the down position for trolling.

update. Purchased these in Dec of 2014.. today, 2-18-2016. My starboard tab no longer works. the piston that pushes the tab down can be moved up and down without any resistance.
