Navy SEALS REVEALED

I found out about this book on YouTube video, which the author described the book, as well as its contents. Of course, being a fan of the SEALS, I had to have it. Seeing the book in person is something to see. The leather of the book's cover is NOT real, but looks very nice. In addition, the cover is complemented by the 14K gold letters and gold-plated Trident insignia, centered on the front of the book. The contents of the book resemble that of an encyclopedia. There are 409 pages filled with pictures, side-references, and other information on just about EVERYTHING about the SEALS.

The book starts from the SEALS origin, all the way to the present. Throughout the book, information is disclosed on weapons, uniforms, accessories, missions, training, vehicles, communication equipment, and in-depth information on the actual SEAL TEAMS and what they actually do. Many may believe they know, but actually do NOT. One of my favorite pages of the book has a photo of an M-4 assault rifle. Of course the M-4 is the primary weapon of choice of the SEALS. Surrounding the M-4 is all of the attachments, which can be placed upon the weapon. I knew of a few, but there are just SO many I didn't know of. Of course, this bit of information is the whole theme of the book.

There is also a chapter, which honors those who have sacrificed their lives and those commemorate for their service. I saw photos of medals of fallen SEALS, as well as a coffin, which has the SEALS' Tridents pounded into the coffin in honor of a fallen SEAL teammate. The book closes with a chronology of significant dates of SEAL missions and acts of valor - no pun intended. Also, there is a glossary, which informs the reader of the SEAL lingo. Honestly, I saw some SEAL-based movies and was lost on certain terms and abbreviations. This certainly helps.

For all fans of the military or those, who have served, such as I, this book is definitely a must-own. I recommend it.

This is the best SEALS book out there in content, photos and history. Of course I'm impressed by it.
Eight plus years in the making, we'd be surprised if any other team is given the access that was granted us.

An epic book, five stars, very well put together with amazing photographs. I consider myself well researched on certain aspects of Naval Special Warfare history and I can honestly say that this book contains masses of previously unpublished and probably forgotten history. I learned a lot. Thanks to everyone's hard work these aspects are finally recorded for prosperity.

There have been a small number of excellent books of similar scope and original content over the years (sadly mostly out of print), each building on the previous ones but at this moment in time this latest work is undoubtedly the authoritative and go-to source of Naval Special Warfare. In certain aspects of recording history this book is simply unparalleled.

What a grand book, very complete as security will allow. Great pictures and history, well written. Downside: expensive, no pics in Special Weapons of the chopped M-60 MG of Viet Nam fame almost as famous as the Stoner 63! A great coffee table book for those who are curious. A great adjunct to the cheaper US Special Operations book. It is very expensive and that money can be used to buy up several cheaper books with similar information but it is an impressive book!
