After Mica is lured into the exam room and there's a confrontation with Bradenmore, who is behind a glass partition. Jonas, Navarro and Callan arrive to let her out of the locked exam room. Mica storms down the hall now that the exam room door has been unlocked. Navarro chases after her, kisses her against the wall and then tells her he loves her as they are cuddling in bed in the "afterglow". There is no mention of a) how they got from kissing in a hallway to being in a bed; b) where this bed is located; and c) what transpired to get them to the "afterglow" portion of the program. I had about 5 minutes of WTF as I kept going back and forth in my Kindle trying to figure out if it was glitching. Then I read several other reviews with the same complaint. So it was either the WORST editing job ever, or somehow pages got lost when the documen got converted to Kindle format. Either way, it sucks and pretty much made me get my hate on for this book. And I have been a Breeds devotee for years, so this is especially depressing. I want my money back or a free copy of the corrected book.

The first 19 pages of the book, which happens to be the prologue was centered mostly around cassie (which btw I will be glad when LL writes her story). There were some typos and some grammatical errors. In chapter 17, pg. 299, Navarro presses Mica back into a steel wall (mind you she was walking down a hallway to get to the elevator; however no mention if she or Navarro enters into the elevator. Then less than a half page later, N&M have finished their lovemaking (in her bed, and how they got there I don't know -- not unless when you turn the page you hit an unforseen fast forward button! -- plus, they are professing their love to each other. The big bag Brandenmore chooses this time to enter Mica's bedroom, with no one ever knowing there was a secret panel in the wall for this fool to frolic through! Ms. Leigh what happened?

Dear Berkley: I believe you are making a ton of money off Lora Leigh's work. Please spend a bit of that profit hiring a better proofing editor. Print and kindle versions are missing at least 2-3 pages of her storyline on page 300 destroying any hope of pulling off a credible climax to the book. Lora Leigh's books are worthy of better. When I read them, I immerse myself in the Breed world and any mistake on your part pulls me from the story (bad bad), had me rereading to see if I missed something (no), and then having to use my own imagination to fill in the blanks (irritating). Hence, see one disappointed customer that is ticked she paid 8 bucks for a book that's ratings are being destroyed by your error. Do better next time. Sincerely, disgruntled customer

Dear Lora Leigh: I love your Breed world. You have a fan for life for this series. Good, bad, ugly - I buy these books. Word of advice: Please take a moment to edit and track your storyline. My first complaint: Mica and Navarro do not talk to each other to resolve any major emotional difficulty. You did an excellent job of putting their emotions out there and letting them bleed, but you didn't have them talk to each other for a resolution that would allow them a deep, intimate emotional connection. Throughout the story they bicker and have irrelevant dialogue. Characters must change and Navarro does, but he never confides in Mica. Instead, they had fabulous sex multiple times (my compliments on that) and Mica settles for "I Love You" and we're done. No, we are not. To top that off, you allow Cassie to hijack the story at the end instead of allowing your characters to perform the central action, then add a useless epilogue that did nothing to resolve these problems.

Navarro's Promise, by author Lora Leigh, is the 24th novel in her ongoing Breeds series. This book could be summed up as sex, sex, and more sex. Was there a storyline or a plot in here at all? Because if there was I totally missed it. The raging sex encompassed the whole book to the point I thought I was going into heat reading this thing. lol Wow! I like some nice details but this was a bit too much for me. It may be tagged as PNR but most definitely is an Erotica novel.

I would like to know who the heck proofread and edited this book?! It was missing a coherent plot, and actual pages are missing from the ending. I hate to spoil this for anyone and if you would like to read the book for yourself please stop reading now, but I've got to talk about these details. Mica and Navarro are the main characters in this latest book but I had no idea why they were fighting each other and none of their issues even got resolved by the end. The main focus of the story was sex. The rest of the pages were kinda just thrown in the air and arranged as they landed, serving as mere breathers between sex scenes.

The book opens well with Mica almost being killed and Navarro coming to her rescue. Severely battered and bruised Mica is horribly shaken but ends up making out with him not less then an hour later. Okay...well I got past that to the next big scene. A madman breaks out of his "secure" cell and tackles her, but why? The book never said why he picked her. Again this story completely ignores that character have reasons for their actions rather than just doing whatever because the plot told them so. Anyway, I continue on with the book and the humping starts. And the humping goes on and on until the very end with little to no transition.
