Updating my review. Finally found an issue to not being able to use my Apple products with this. Found a usb dongle that allows you to use Apple CarPlay or android auto. For that very fact of being able to use my phone with this unit I’m upping my rating to 5 stars now.

Had this in my truck for a couple weeks now. The Bluetooth works wonderfully. Being able to access the android market place is a great plus. Installing custom apk’s Makes it nice to get exactly what you need.

Why did I only give it 4 stars? I’d give it 3.5 if I could but I bought this under the assumption that it had iPhone connectivity through usb (it was advertised until I sent the seller a msg about it). The screen is pretty great but if something happens and your protective screen cover comes unpeeled, the screen itself gets micro scratches really easy. The actual radio tuner takes some time to get used to. Also like others have stated, INCLUDE instructions on these things. Someone mechanically inclined would have a terrible time putting this unit in. No mention of having the park brake wire grounded to be able to watch videos while driving.

Would I have choose. Another unit knowing what I know now? Yes I would.

Am I happy with this? I am but still would go another route.

Good Value...but problems with processing image on video screen while backing up.

Since i purchased this unit some time ago i thought i would update the review. the unit is fine as such but there is a problem with the screen when the unit is showing video during the back up mode. the video screen will regularly show snow and cut out when backing up. on some occasions the back up image will not work at all. disappointing since this was one of the primary reasons i purchased this item. 2/6/2019.

A very good head unit to replace the stock Toyota radio. Back up camera and navigation were very important for me when comparing and choosing a new unit. Radio is okay with FM reception but AM reception is spotty. Will order a new antenna to see if it will improve radio reception. CD player works well. DVD player works well if you choose to use it. Directions for connecting the radio harness and other features are not good. Connecting the back up camera to the unit and picking the correct wire/in-put is difficult since there are NO directions. There is a YouTube video that helps but this is the most challenging part of the installation. The unit fits like a glove and looks like a stock install. The radio seek/search and memory functions are not great but can be set up easily. It seems that the radio search function will scramble the preset stations that have been identified and am not sure what to do to prevent this. Navigation system is decent and I have no complaints. I spent several weeks looking at the various units and features while comparing prices and this unit is the best available. While others may have stated that their speakers stopped working or the back up camera display was a problem my guess would be they needed a JBL adapter for their speakers and then perhaps a camera may be at fault. I am completely satisfied and have no hesitation in making a positive recommendation.

Fits Very Well But........

The form factor was nearly perfect. The cosmetic case portion blends in with the surrounding dash features so it looks like it was from the factory. The plug and play installation is a nice feature. As for the operating system, it is more or less like an Android phone app but does not allow a lot of options for changing features. The default music app is worthless so I added an after market app. I syncs to my Jet Pack mobile network very easily. The screen is pretty good and large enough to display more than a dozen apps. The sound quality via the built in equalizer is fantastic.

Now the bad. The radio app is worthless. There is no fine tuning available so it skips past stations in scan mode or manual tuning mode. This alone makes the unit worth a lot less than the current price. When I want to watch a video on YouTube, the unit automatically starts the music app at the exact location of the most recently played song. I will be stuck with this stereo for a few years because the lack of quality in many areas does not justify tossing it into the trash bin. I would think twice before investing in this stereo.

The stereo itself is a great addition to my 2007 Tundra. It fits perfectly and looks OEM from the factory. It takes a while for the stereo to load from the start. Be warned that there are no installation instructions or any type of manual to navigate the stereo. I bought a tailgate backup cam to go with this stereo because I didn't want one of those cheap camera that the seller has to offer. No issue installing the stereo but I could not get the backup camera to work. I contacted the seller and the seller was no help. After two attempts, the solution from the seller was "If it couldn't work properly, maybe it couldn't fit to our unit". Why sell something that you have no knowledge of. I spent 3 days resolving this issue and finally got it to work without the help of the seller. I would've gave this a 5 star rating if the seller would've been more helpful.
