Good for small hands

I was looking for weighted gloves similar to the Tae Bo Power gloves. These are designed almost identically.

Pros: I like the weight: they are just heavy enough to get a deep burn during MMA style workouts. They are snug, and they don't jostle or ride up no matter how fast or hard I throw punches. I've only had them a few days, so I can't speak to the durability, but they feel well-made. Thick fabric, good stitching.

Cons: The thumb holes (not adjustable) are rather small and leave deep impressions even after short workouts. I have small hands and thin fingers, so this was surprising to me. My old Tae Bo gloves were always on the loose side. I am assuming that the fabric will stretch out over time with use/heat/sweat, so it's not quite a deal breaker for me.

Caution: these gloves are indeed for small hands.

I've been using these gloves for a few weeks now and they work well. I'm petite (5'1", around 105 pounds) and these gloves fit well around my palms but are a little loose around my wrists. I use them for cardio kickboxing since I can't fit a proper bag in the house; they give me good resistance as I work to build up my core and arms, and while I'm sweating hard at the end of the workout, my arms don't feel like noodles; I can still function, which is a good thing. I've been thinking of these weights as a stepping stone to something heavier and they are working exactly as I need them to. My one suggestion for improvement is to increase the length of the wrist strap so that people can wrap the strap around their wrists more than once. This provide more stability to the wrist and would give us more leverage to tighten the strap.

These gloves are perfect for what they are designed for! Beware the reviewers that say they are too snug. I have fairly large hands for a woman and these fit perfectly with more than enough room for adjustment. The holes for the thumbs are SUPPOSED to be fitted so they are not sliding around and the weight isn't flopping around. Anyone who has experience with contact sports where taping and gloves are required will agree that they should be snug. Most likely these will seem uncomfortable to someone who is unfamiliar with how they should fit. They arrived quickly, are good quality, and fit perfectly! Highly recommend!! I also like that the fingers are not individually wrapped. Used for kenpo/mmx/body combat workouts and they were just the right amount of weight!

These gloves are definitely not one size fits all. I'm a male, 5'11, with average sized male hands, and slightly larger than average wrists. The thumb holes are too small, fitting JUST enough for them to get at the base of my thumb. When punching, it starts to put pressure on my thumbs, and they start to go numb after a few minutes. The wrist velcro doesn't wrap around my wrist enough (My fitbit blaze is on the 6th notch from the tightest notch if that makes sense), so I had to improvise and use velcro strips as extenders.

Aside from the "one size fits all" that these gloves are advertising, they seem well enough made.

Beware if you are a male with average sized hands.

These as are just what I needed. I was a little apprehensive at first as I don't like to be bogged down with too many things while exercising but was advised that adding weighted gloves would amp up my workout. I didn't believe that a mere one pound on each hand would really make that much of a difference but I gave it the old try anyhow.

Boy was I surprised. First at the fit, I don't exactly have small dainty hands, but they fit, and were comfortable, (I didn't think they would be, but the weight sits on top of your hand, so you don't have that bulky feeling.) and I was able to put them on with no problems.

Next was the workout. Just doing my regular Zumba took my arm workout to the next level. I really felt it about half way through the exercise and at work a few hours later. It really felt like my biceps had gotten their own workout.

I would definitely recommend this as an addition to work out gear. Can't wait to try these with Kickboxing.

Okay weight gloves. I still use them but constant use has shown me how poorly they were constructed. Areas of most resistance (in my case around the thumbs) show the neoprene pulling away of the ribbing material and it's only a matter of time before they fall apart completely. These areas should have been triple-stitched for endurance. Also noteworthy is thumb holes tend to cut off the circulation if you don't have them on just right, I find I have to readjust them on a regular basis during workouts I will use them till they break, which at this point should only be a few more weeks. I would not buy again.
