This compilation collects all the miscellaneous pieces from the Knitting in the City series and the material from Scenes in the City and Scenes in the Hallway in one convenient volume. Yes, most of this material was free or cheap. But if you follow the author at all, she’s been cautioning readers all along not to buy the book if you don’t want repeated material. However, if you like to have all the miscellaneous pieces in one place or you don’t get the newsletter, didn’t search out pieces on the web, didn’t get Scenes from the City, or don’t have Scenes from the Hallway, or you want the few short pieces that are new, go ahead, spend $5.99 and skip your latte one time. If you have it all and don’t want to spend the money, enjoy your beverage of choice, or buy some other book.
I really love reading all of these extra scenes from all of my favourite characters. Yes - I had already read the majority of them, but this was totally worth it just for the new content. I read the book from start to finish, enjoying scenes I had already read, and absolutely devouring all the new scenes. My favourites would have to be Extra Scene : The Junior Hackers Society for Sandra and Alex, and Dan's creative word list was hilarious.
I really enjoyed reading the deleted scenes. Reading Penny's books makes me believe in love. I have read them all over and over when I can't find something else good to read. Besides I am a knitter so I enjoy that part of the series. Keep writing Penny as I will keep reading.
Nothing new, if you subscribe to her news letters would have read most of these scenes, a bit disappointed in Ms. Reid for charging $5.99 for incomplete scenes that I have read in other places. If this book was $1.99 probably would give it 4 stars. Come on Penny, don't get greedy, just because you know we love you.
Most of the stories have already been posted other places for free. Now put in one book marketed as new content. Plus we had to pay for it! Just another way we get sucked in to order these supplement book to a popular series.
