Most of the time though my son just uses this to put his Legos and Lego instructions away and it stays in the box shape most of the time. When it was new we played with it a little, but my son is 5 and not as impressed by the landscape as you may think.
That being said, it is still a nice neat box with Velcro on the sides so the lid stays on. The zippers on the side sometimes unzip while he is playing, but it is not a problem to pull them back up. Overall I am pleased with the functionality and the neatness of it.
I do not know how many Lego fit in the box. It is fairly large and I posted a picture with one of the Lego green building plates for reference.
I picked up this bin on lightening deal and it's been a great new home for the Legos. The kids don't actually play with the "board" that it unzips into too often, but they do like to unzip the sides so that all four of them have equal access to the pieces at once. I like that the lid velcros into place and that there are side handles with which to put this bin back into its spot.
Overall a great value.
When I first saw the box, it looked smaller than I imagined, and I thought that it might be too small for all her Legos. Once I started putting them in the box, though, I saw that it holds more than expected!
