NEBO... FIX YOUR PRODUCT!
on November 14, 2012
It's hard to find a good tactical, bright flashlight with multiple settings AND a zoom/focusing beam. When I first got this light (and the original redline) I was so happy, it was perfect. Then after using it for a couple weeks, I noticed it seemed to get dimmer and dimmer and the perfect beam turned into a yellowish color with rings around the outside, and now it's worse than a mag light. I wasted a lot of money trying different batteries (different brands, rechargeable, and lithium-ion) to try to make it brighter, I even bought another nebo redline and another redline SE thinking maybe I got a dud or it would last if I didn't use it as much... but nothing worked, so now I have some paper weights that sit in a box in my closet. Do not buy this (unless maybe you barely ever use it).
FYI: I ended up getting an O-light M20-X warrior (which is brighter but doesn't have the focusing beam and it's a lot more expensive) and it has worked perfectly for months so far after many drops on concrete, taking it in the water, and using it for hours at least 5 nights a week... plus the rechargeable Li-ion batteries really help save on long term cost. but if nebo made their bulb last longer, I would gladly switch back to the redline
