About the Author
Howard Phillips Lovecraft (1890-1937) is probably the most important and influential author of supernatural fiction of the 20th century. A life-long resident of Providence, R.I., many of his tales are set in the fear-haunted towns of an imaginary area of Massachusetts, or in the cosmic vistas that exist beyond space and time. Since his untimely death, he has become acknowledged as a master of fantasy fiction, and a mainstream American writer second only to Edgar Allan Poe, while his relatively small body of work has influenced countless imitators and formed the basis of a world-wide industry of books, games and movies based on his concepts. Stephen Jones has 100 books to his name as writer or editor, and dozens of awards in the horror and dark fantasy fields. He is is one of Britain's most acclaimed authorities on horror fiction and film.

One of the best things about these books, are that the stories are short. This makes it really easy to read during commutes, short breaks, and when one doesn't feel like getting into a whole long boo
Theonly major flaw on the hardcove is that the leather is not attacted to the glue and pages of the book so it can be kinda hard to open which isn't such a big deal because Im real carfull about taking care of my books and I only bend the spine more than I need to.
So basically Don't open bend or open the book more tha you need to your fingers will get tired of holing on to a page the farther you go on into the book.
My sugestion lay it on a pillow and sit on your bed and read it or if you have a book stand or a podium use that.
So other than it's not the best hardback orthe most flexible it dose make for an excellant collection.
Also alot of the art is repeated in the book which I found rather odd but I didn't mnd that much considering I was happy to have illustrations.
The Conan Chronicles and conans brethen are exactly the same in terms of how the hardbacks are made.
All in all it's a great collection I highly recomend it I also highly recomend More thand 50 wierd tales and Hp Lovecraft anthology by forgotten books you can buy it on amazon or go to forgotten books web site and read it online for free.
