The day she arrives at the home strange, weird things begin to happen. Things get even stranger once Luke arrives and they are both in the house. This is a novella, that I so wish was longer for I fell in love with the characters and their "how we got together" story. I hope to read more books by this author whose characters draw you in and keep you reading. If you love paranormal romance stories with more than a touch of humor, this one is definitely for you.
Cute, fast story where the couple creates their own problems by simply not talking. (Classic: I can't love you because you are my sister's best friend.) Luckily for them the ghost of Jilly's grandmother “poltergeists” the house until they are forced to be honest. This was good for a short story because there isn't much of a problem to overcome that a few of good boinks can't cure. ;-)
Jilly's grandma sure must have been a saucy gal.
Jilly comes back home to her families home after the passing of her grandmother. He grandmother left the family home to Jilly in her will...... well half of it. She also gave the other part of it to Luke Bannon, her best friends brother. Why might you ask? Because Nana, even at the end of her life, wanted nothing more than to know that her grandaughter would be okay and happy. But the idea of sharing the estate with Luke isnt really something that Jilly wanted to do. Neither did Luke. He thought it all to be more trouble than it worth, maybe more trouble for his heart than he was willing to admit. The thought of having to live with Jilly would be too hard because he had secretly loved her from afar for years and he didn't think she would or could ever love him too. Nana knew better. When Jilly arrived at the house strange things instantly started happening and both Jilly and Luke find themselves locked in the house with no way to get out, thanks again to the ghost of Nana. Nothing to do but face each other and truths they have both kept secret for far too long. Nana always knows best.
I really enjoyed this sweet story, but I wish it was longer. The writing was great and the plot was great and there was so much potential for a longer story but alas the author just made it a good short one. Some potential missed but still worth reading. There is plenty of background provided about both characters that you don't feel like you are missing info, so short works. I would definitely recommend.
Eden breathes new life into an otherwise oversaturated genre with vibrant characters and fast-paced plots. This is a SEARING HOT read and hopefully when Ashe is done writing this hero, she can just send him direct to me! Worst part of the book was that it had to end. This book needs to come with a "WARNING: BOOK HANGOVER AHEAD" label.
Definitely will be looking for more by this author.
Jilly had moved back to her old town because her grandmother had passed away. And in her will she left her everything but half the house. Which the other half belongs to Luke.... Who she has no love for... Or does she?
Luke can't believe that he owns half the estate of Jilly's grandmothers place. But to get rid of it he needs to convince her to sell. How will he do that and keep the walls he built up around his heart away from her? Will he be able to survive their encounter?
