Format: Paperback
A good introduction to needle making and valuable resource for those wanting to make needles.

John G Rollins provides a good coverage of English needle making with focus from the Tudor to modern period.

For those interested in making needles there are a great deal of images that will allow you to manufacture your own needles but the majority of techniques described focus on mass production even when produced as a cottage industry. It includes interesting facts such as the dangers of sandstone grinding wheel explosions!

The book makes a good launching point for those interested in the subject and has a good bibliography to advance your knowledge.

Personally, I would have preferred a little more information prior to the periods mentioned above and a little more information on pin making.
