Great for Night Photography

I use these lights for night photography as fill for foreground objects and they work great. You don't need a lot of light at night with long exposures and these are dim-able, I've got them on their lowest setting most of the time. I'm sure they have many other uses, my experience has mostly been with just with night photography.

I've seen people hold this light in their hand for light painting and it works find for that. Use the red filter for more natural looking light.
For me, I set up the lights and take a test photo. I adjust the lights as needed get get the proper light level and to smooth out shadows. Now I have 100% repeatable lighting for multiple exposures.

Excellent Night Photography Low Level Lighting

I use these LED panels to light scenery when out at night taking Milky Way photos. You need a surprisingly small amount of light to balance the foreground and the sky. Even on full dim and with the red filter, it is still too much light. I actually opened one up and cut the circuit board foil with a razor knife so only 1/4 of the LEDs light up. Previously I covered part of the light with electrical tape, but now I no longer need to do that.By Charles Beilman on September 23, 2018

FOR ALL MY POINT & SHOOT PPL I AM HERE FOR YOU. Lol! Using 3M 'Extremely Strong Fasteners' I now have LED light for my Canon PowerShot SX530 HS. Of course, without a DIY light attachment us P&S owners can't record lit video at night. There are no cold-shoe slots on PowerShot cameras. This light by Neewer gives you what you pay for. Honestly more in my opinion. I was able to apply the durable 3M modernized-velcro strips, that I mentioned to the light and to my P&S without covering any ports or affecting either item involved. I still can remove & easily put the light on a tripod as it has the same screwport as most cameras. Not sure about battery life yet as I just inserted the 2 AA's but I don't expect ANYTHING requiring any A-type batteries to last too too long. Ill just keep an extra pack on me on shooting days. Might not work as well on long distances but its perfect for people in the same room or lose outside quarters. Its blinding to be honest lol. Works very well!
