If there's one thing I would suggest that each of you do, it's to get the largest one, rather than the 24"x24" unit like I did. I really wanted to just try it, to see how it performed against the
Lastolite Ezybox Hotshoe Kit-24-Inch X 24-Inch
, which feels a little more sturdy in its design. BUT, I cannot complain a lick about the Neewer. They really did their homework. The big selling point is that amazing flash bracket mount. You can slip just about any hotshoe flash (I've used the
Nikon SB-800 AF Speedlight
, the
Nikon SB-900 AF Speedlight
, as well as a
Feit C4000/5K/LED 300W Replacement 5000K Non-Dimmable LED Light Bulb
for shooting video (that required a lightbulb base to male 3-pronged adapter and switch. I tried locating one on image search but no dice). The secret to the product's success is that mount. It feels and seems heavy duty, can be screwed up or down to hold all of what I threw at it, and it's well-designed. It ratchets if you need that kind of tightening of the bracket, and it holds the unfoldable softbox like a champ, yet it's quite easy to take back down. And let me add about the softbox. While it's not quite as sturdy as the Lastolite, it still seems designed well enough. It has the main diffuser, which is not as opaque as the Lastolite. With the Neewer, you'll need the internal diffuser, or your light throw will be a bit hot. I'm glad that they, like Lastolite, added the internal diffuser. But the JOY of this unit is how you can not only fold it to the flat triangle shape, but you can twist-fold it to a small but thick disk, which fits in a zipping bag that they also provide. I actually purchased a Lowepro camera bag on a special ($10 after rebate) and now can place the Neewer kit, LED bulb (it's pretty long but works terrific in the softbox), two flashes,
PocketWizard Plus III Transceivers
, batteries and two DSLR LED lights with Sony batteries into this bag for still or video shooting. Versatility is what works in today's visual imaging and the Neewer allows that to happen. And it looks professional to boot, with their logo on opposing black panels.
All that being said, my boss was impressed enough that he wants my product list to outfit our whole department with this and much, if not all, the other gear. That to me speaks volumes. (No, I'm not paid to write this, I paid for my own kit, and I'm late for getting home because I took the extra time to try being thorough here.)

I've had this product for over a year now, and it is fantastic considering the price and quality you get out of it. I do have a few grapes over the designs, but overall it has been a very reliable tool.
Pros:
This product is very easy to set up, it's lightweight, and very versatile making it very easy to travel. Its 60 x 60 cm square softbox has an inner baffle which allows for the light to spill evenly in the direction you point your light, regardless if you are using a bare bulb or Speedlight. The S–bracket fits my Godox AD200 quite snuggly, though there is quite a bit of finessing to slide it in. The angle adjuster knob makes it easy to loosen and tighten while the box is attached. This s-bracket also allows you to attach umbrellas, Bowens adapted boxes, and dishes as well as a snoot.
Cons:
While this is a great package, the softbox does not mount like other boxes, being that it has to fit around the circular edge of the S-bracket. The wind is able to twist and turn the box in angles that you may not want such as a diamond or square shape light. Sticking a clip in the back can prevent this. The S-bracket is very stiff when tilting the vertical plan, I often feel like I am breaking it as I adjust the tilt. Disassembling this unit while the Godox AD200 has a bare bulb attached is not very safe, I often find myself asking an assistant to hold one and while I pry off the box from the bracket to avoid dropping or sacking the bulb inside the box. The box falls away like any other triangular shape reflector and if you're not familiar with that, it's similar to putting away a circular pop-up car windscreen, though it sounds easy, I just fold it away since it loses shape over time when storing it in its compact form.
