Amazing Sound if you know how to set it up right

Read this and save 3 hours of setup! First, buy the NW-100 amplifier with this microphone - it makes it sound MUCH MUCH better. Second, set up the microphone exactly as shown in the picture. You don't need to use the black sponge cap. Third, download audacity - it's the best audio recording program out there and it's free. Fourth, you will need to change the settings of the microphone in your windows settings. The gain needs to be raised to 20 dB for best results. Fifth, learn how to remove the residual noise in Audacity and you will achieve PERFECTION!! Follow these steps and you will have a professional grade studio for only $50!! Couldn't be happier.

Amazing for the money!

Overall the sound produced from this microphone is very good for most purposes, especially content being produced for the internet. Getting all of these things in one kit for $40 is an amazing deal. One thing to keep in mind is that this microphone does require phantom power. For me I used a neewer phantom power box which can be picked up on amazon for around $20. Even factoring that in $60 total is still great. Overall everything included seems to be of decent quality that should last for a long time. Neewer arm mounts are legendary for there low price and great build quality. Though I do think this produces better sound than something like a blue snowball setup and using is not as elegant because of the lack of a direct usb interface, but like I said for the money this kit is great.

This is a good quality inexpensive microphone for its price. The stand and pop filters and sock are a good bargain. The stand is good overall, and it stays put easily. The shock mount holds the mic with out slipping and the handling noise it pretty minimal. Its a good overall mic, its not too bright, and seems to be clean when you power it. The Included XLR to Headphone jack cable is no good, not that it doesn't work, but you'll want a phantom power XLR jack for this. You can do this by either by supplying 48v phantom power with an inline phantom power adapter, or by using a USB interface which supplies it like in my case with the UM2. In my testing I found that it was just too quiet with say a USB sound card that supplied it with just 5 volts, it improved it but it didn't get anywhere near the UM2's clean input with a true phantom power supply. For me the UM2 is really clean and quiet with this and complements it nicely. The build quality is good, the condenser capsule housing the condenser is plastic, but the condenser itself is larger than you little cheep mic and it preforms pretty well. The metal body is solid and its not to heavy, its in the middle weight wise. The finish is good though, and the grill is pretty sturdy but I'd say it wouldn't be drop proof like some of the expensive ones. It would generally hold up very well though. Inside the PCB is good overall with a little hand soldering to the wire connectors they are wire to pad, so not though hole, and there is little flux and residue with clean component placement. Inside the grill there is some padding for it as well. Combined with the sock or the pop filter it seems to do a good job. Overall the build quality is excellent for the price, and it sounds nice. The price alone is good with out the Mic, I figured if I didn't like it I could upgrade it. Its done well for me with just some quick voice over work and for conferencing and gaming. Its not in Sure or AKG territory, but for the price you can't go wrong.

Great for the price, with a few drawbacks

For a bit over a 30 dollar purchase, this microphone is great; that being said, there are a couple issues I have with it. The first is that the mounting part is very cheaply made, so eventually it wore through the threads on the bolt and the rubber pad to reduce scratching, so I had to buy a new mount (mostly because of the bolt). The second is that, depending on the quality of built in microphones/headphone microphones, it may not be a terribly noticeable improvement. I have two good gaming laptops, and the improvement is noticeable over the laptops' built in microphones, but a few gaming headsets I have tried sound almost (not quite, but almost) as good as the microphone does. That being said, I still don't regret purchasing it and would recommend it if you are just getting started into recording.

I'm not an audio professionalist recorder guy who records professonal audio professionally. I try to convince my son to record videos for his youtube channel and I'd edit them for him because he's said he'd like a channel(can't make video without footage! can't make a video without audio either!) Well I ended up getting this thing and I had to really now what I was buying but I got them and a Behringer Q1202USB 12-Channel Mixer and after that it was adjusting levels. I used OBS and a lot of testing and making fake videos to test all the knobs and junk because man, I don't even know what that board does! I'll tell you that setup though, or maybe this mic, seems pretty damn sweet.

This thing has a nice swing arm to it. I've used the clamp of various things. Table top edge, desk(inside the drawer ledge) right now its clamped to a bookshelf(less vibrations on the mike when its not on same surface as where the keyboard is). I've used my laptop mic and everyone seems eh. Always lag problems, never mic problems. I've even had a couple people say that I come across loud, like my mic is loud because no one else says it. So this mic bundled with a good board can do a lot.

Good volume effects everything. What if video is great and people are hooked then you hear sudden blaring sound? Takes you out of the moment, so a good mic helps, and personally? I think this is a great mic.

Pongo en un kit casi completo porque si vas a comprar este microfono lo primero que tienes que saber, es que sin fuente de poder o phatom power, se escucha casi nada, por no decir nada. Para esto recomiendo la fuente de poder de neewer aqui dejo el enlace para que la veas

Otro detalle, que no se si es un problema mio o de mi equipo. Si grabo directo a la entrada de microfono de mi ordenador mete un poco de ruido de fondo, que se puede eliminar con un programa de edicion de audio como el audacity que es el que uso. Tengo una placa madre Gigabyte sniper B5, no es lo mas de lo mas, pero es una intermedia, sin embargo mete ruido. Esto lo solucione bastante, usando una placa de sonido externa, la ugreen que tambien compre en amazon, aqui dejo el enlace para que la vean.

Esta es la que uso actualmente y suena bien, siempre son el phantom power porque sino nada se escucha.

En cuanto a la calidad de grabacion, es algo basico, yo soy terriblemente amateur, lo que no me califica para dar una opinion muy precisa, pero para mi se escucha bien, claro, y es mejor usar el anti pop, se nota mucho la diferencia.

Los materiales se sienten un poco corrientones la verdad, pero tampoco podemos pedir la calidad de terminacion de un micro de alta gama a un microfono de estas caracteristicas.

El brazo funciona bien, me agrada, cuando uno lo pone en una posicion se queda fijo y no se anda moviendo, el antipop hace su trabajo y se nota la diferencia de cuando uno lo usa y cuando no.

Su sensibilidad es bastante buena, cuando grabo en la habitacion y pasan carros los toma casi a todos, lo que tambien es de tomar en cuenta a la hora de elegir si quieres un microfono de condensador o uno dinamico.

Opinion general, para comenzar esta bien, si eres amateur como yo esta bien, si no quieres gastar mas de 1500 por todo, esta bien.

Espero que les sirva esta referencia, porque cuando uno comienza en esto no entiende mucho y a veces los que saben no explican muy claro las cosas.

Après 6 mois d'utilisation pour mes streams et vidéos je peux clairement dire que je regrette cet achat de débutant.
Je l'ai acheté en démarrant les streams, en pensant améliorer d'emblée la qualité de mon son grâce à ce micro mais c'est clairement un piège pour les personnes qui souhaitent se lancer dans le Youtube ou Twitch Game.
Chers créateurs, ne tombez pas dans le piège! Economisez pour acheter mieux! Pour l'instant votre micro casque suffit!

En l'espace de quelques jours d'utilisation les problèmes commencent. Voici une liste exhaustive :
- Micro pas assez puissant (encore moins sur un ordi portable), qui nécessite obligatoirement diverses achats et installation supplémentaires (voir plus bas)
- Micro non reconnu sur Streamlabs OBS et fait planter le son
- Emet à blanc des grésillements très désagréables pour les spectateurs.
- Grésillement difficile à supprimer. Obligation de passer par des logiciels type Adobe Audition mais qui altère alors la voix.
- Plus le temps passe, plus ce problème s'aggrave. Les soucis surviennent de manière aléatoire, même quand tout semble correcte.

Si vous persistez dans cet achat, voici tout ce que vous allez devoir faire :
- Acheter une carte son USB ( +10€ min) et un transfo (+10€ min).
- Installer un logiciel qui améliore le son entre l'entrée et la sortie, comme Adobe Audition ou des logiciels gratuits
- Donc, installer un logiciel pour créer un câble fantôme sur votre ordinateur
- Et même avec ça, vous devrez ajouter des filtres à votre micro sur le logiciel de stream

Pour quelques dizaines d'euros de plus, vous pouvez investir dans un blue yéti ou un rode qui fera un bon son (environ 100€). Patientez et vous pourrez compter sur le soutien de votre communauté pour améliorer correctement votre matériel, mais ne gâchez pas votre argent au démarrage.

Sounds better than its price suggests

Wasn't entirely sure what to expect - some reviews said this thing sounded good, others said that anyone who thought it sounded good must have had low expectations, but after some initial testing I can safely say that for the money this is an excellent microphone.

Frequency response is fair; the low end tails off a bit below around 80Hz, there's a noticeable peak at 10-14KHz, and the "realistic" top end is closer to 19KHz than 20KHz, but it's all well within acceptable range.

Sensitivity is also pretty good as long as you give it 48V; it's much less tolerant of lower voltage phantom power so you'll need to run it through a DI box or similar, and using the supplied XLR-to-3.5mm jack is pretty much a waste of time - you'll need to crank up the gain far too high and it'll be swamped by noise. Give it 48V, though, and it's an excellent performer; I had to turn my pre-amp *way* down!

Haven't taken it apart to check the build quality of the capsule or electronics, but overall it seems well made. It's quite light so I would guess the body is aluminium or more likely some sort of light alloy, so while it doesn't feel cheap or insubstantial it may not stand up to rough treatment so if you're taking it on the road it'll need protecting.

The scissor arm isn't the sturdiest thing in the world, though, so the lightweight nature of the microphone is a plus. As long as you're gentle with it it works fine but I can imagine it's easily damaged if you're not careful. It would have been nice if there were some cable clips on it, but you can't have everything.

The spoffle is functional but insubstantial, and the pop shield can be a bit hard to position without it drooping, but they're nice to have.

Overall I'm impressed with the package, particularly for the price, and whether you're looking to set up a small home studio, record a podcast, or do some streaming then providing you have the hardware to connect with a proper XLR cable with phantom power this feels like it's worth more than it costs.

Je mets 5 étoiles car je suis satisfait de ce kit complet radio/enregistrement car il correspond en tout point à mes attentes. Je parle bien sûr du niveau qualité prix qui est excellent quand on voit le prix avec frais de port d’une seule perche/pied de micro. La livraison a été très rapide (deux jours) et l’emballage était correct. Bon je m’en doutais vu des commentaires des autres utilisateurs qui disaient qui fallait une alimentation car même sur ma console de studio il me faut en amont une Alimentation Fantôme Noir avec Adaptateur 48V. Attend mon alimentation et après tout devrait être bon. Très contant du Support de Microphone à Bras de Ciseaux Avec Pince qui est d’une qualité très acceptable. Niveau look l’ensemble fait très pro j’en recommande un autre pour ma micro radio locale. Je recommande Neewer.

Seen some reviews giving poor scores for the mounting arm

The microphone was very quiet on my laptop, however if you read the included leaflet it's probably reliant on a higher voltage than mine is providing, I'll be knocking it down to 3 stars if after testing on my main PC it has the same issue. However I bought this mainly for the arm and a backup mic. Seen some reviews giving poor scores for the mounting arm, but it's holding my blue yeti (which is significantly heavier) just fine. Obviously the included shock mount is too small for the Blue Yeti, and that's why I've put a couple of pieces of packing tape on the springs, so they don't vibrate for long if knocked. I don't doubt that some people got a weak one, this is very cheap and manufacturing defects occur. I'd recommend returning for replacement if that happens, because the one I have seems sturdy enough.

EDIT: Same issue with my PC. It does clearly state the possibility in the description though (which I missed). I have no need to try a power supply for it though since I don't actually need the mic, but I'm sure it would be fine with one.

Great value. Great build quality. Great packaging. Great sound quality. Next to no noise on the line.

I connect this to my studio quality sound card and use for podcasts and voice over work. Quality of sound is sensational. Really makes the more subtle noises from voice over more noticeable and powerful and adds a nice depth of quality to your voice.

Especially impressed with its capabilities in those quiet moments. There are ranges of my voice I tend only to be able to access when I am really quiet and close to the Mic. L'attache pour le bureau : bouge quand on bouge le bras articulé mais quand on l'attache trop la visse touche la barre du bras et détruit la barre
Le bras articulé : très bien, solide.
Le câble XLR : peu résistant au côté XLR mais solide niveau jack même si je ne l'utilise plus car j'ai un XLR vers XLR et une console de mixage.

Le filtre anti-pop : prend beaucoup de place et difficile de l'attacher a un endroit fixe car quand on bouge le bras elle tombe.
La mousse : j'ai choisi elle plutôt que le filtre anti-pop car elle prend moins de place mais déforme très légèrement la voix.
En bref, le micro et son kit sont parfait pour débuter mais non à long terme ( si vous augmenter la qualité par exemple il vous faudra ( comme moi ) acheter câble XLR - XLR plus solide et une console de mixage.
En général ce kit est très bien. =)

il me fallait 2 micros léger avec son support, un très bon compromis avec ce kit. Branché sur une behringer QX1002 USB (qui offre l'avantage d'une sortie numérique à brancher en usb) elle répond à mes attentes, facile à installer en qualité de son (son net) utilisable à la fois proche comme de loin (environ 1,50 m) on entend clairement ce qui est dit) le bras rapide à installer par contre pas multidirectionnel, on doit penser à l'avance comment doit etre fixer (on ne peut pas mettre la fixation à la vertical puis utiliser le bras à l'horizontal par exemple), si vous avez une table de mixage avec alimentation phantom pas besoin de prévoir une alimentation supplémentaire, cette table supporte très bien le micro (testé sur une behringer et une yamaha avec alimentation phantom) sinon prévoyez en une. Seul bémol et pas des moindres, le cablage, oubliez celui fourni, il ne vous sera d'aucune utilité dans 90 % des cas, c'est un XLR pour le micro - minijack !!!!! donc soit vous achetez un adaptateur jack ou comme moi si vous utiliser une table de mixage, prevoyez un cable XLR/XLR en plus......... Micro ideal pour les amateurs et passionnés, pour les pros à voir.....

Au départ j'étais très douteux de la qualité du son qu'allait procurer ce microphone souvent dit ''cheap'' et pas très bons mais en réalité après avoir pris le risque de l'acheter j'ai été très surpris ! Dans la boite il y a tout ce dont on a besoin pour commencer :

-Le bras articulé en métal
-Le filtre anti-pop
-Le microphone en lui même
-Le câble xlr ver jack
-Une bonette anti-pop

Après avoir fait quelque test sur Audacity j'ai été très surpris pour le prix pas de bruit de fond pas trop de saturation a part si on crie très fort mais je doute que vous le fassiez. Au niveau des matériaux c'est très bon car il est totalement constitué de métal ce qui rend le produit très lourd mais qui offre une sensation de robustesse. Cela fait maintenant 1 an que je le possède et il marche toujours aussi bien. Par contre faudra faire très attention au niveau du côté jack car je l'ai tordu plusieurs fois ! Des fois ça se rattrape mais sinon vous pouvez avoir une dégradation du son et même des ultrasons très désagréables !

Personally I don't need a Phantom power supply, I plugged it in the microphone port,
Went to Realtek Audio Manager, cranked up the recording volume to the max, the Gain to +30.0dB and it's really good.
Not too much white noise in the background due to the Gain getting cranked up, the pop-filter works like a charm and the mic is surprisingly good.
I've seen worst microphones on 150-200$ gaming headsets.

I don't like playing games with a headset, I'd rather play with speakers, but when playing with friends, it was often annoying for them because they could hear me play over my microphone. I had to crank down my game volume to 30 / 100. This mic fixed that, I can finally play Overwatch with my friends, while keeping my in-game volume at 100.

Setup was a little fiddly, but got there eventually. It stays firmly in place with the clamp and can be just pushed out of the way when i'm not suing it so it doesn't take up too much space.

I find it echos but this likely my software - if anyone has any tips, please let me know!

It's quite fun to use, and when i'm done recording, the kids spend a while playing on it haha.

I bought it with the power supply, it doesn't work without that on my set up.

I only really wanted the boom arm when I bought this, but this package was such good value I thought why not.
The boom arm is relatively easy to use and moves, very smooth vertically but can be a bit fiddly moving side to side.
Holds the weight of the mic well and is quite stable, it's not a fantastic microphone but certainly good for day to day use with podcasts, VOIP and internet streaming. I would certainly recommend this as a sort of starter kit for anyone wanting to get into streaming, podcasting and any other amateur/semi professional recording uses.

Don't forget this requires phantom power/48v power supply as they are sold seperately if you aren't plugging this into an interface or mixer which has phantom power available.

This is so affordable for what you get. Looking around Amazon it would cost the same price just for the mounting! However this package even comes with a pretty cool condenser mic too!

It's worth mentioning to prospective buyers that this microphone is a 'condenser' mic which means it require a source of phantom power to perform properly. The supplied XLR to 3.5mm jack works but you have to really boost the levels within your OS to be able to hear it and at these levels, a lot of background hissing appears. When using a phantom power supply or an audio interface like the one I use, the gain (volume) is boosted and provides a nice, clear recording.

Granted, the microphone isn't the best quality. My knowledge of condenser microphones isn't the best but this mic seems to clip quite easily meaning the sound distorts at louder levels easily. But still, overall I'm really impressed with this bundle!

The mic is amazing even the extra features that come along with it such as the scissor arm, shock mount and pop filter. I connected these mics to a Behringer UMC404HD audio interface and the sound is crystal clear. Great value for money and the quality is amazing what more could you ask for. My only slight issue is the clamp itself as it could be a bit more robust and moves however slightly, especially when you want to adjust the mic arm but nothing of a huge concern to complain about and for the price, not of a huge concern for me. Overall, fantastic product and would highly recommend.
