This umbrella is just as advertised. First weekend after I ordered the umbrella I took it out for a pretty lengthy photo shoot at a nearby farm and park. The conditions were windy and I was worried about the sturdiness of the umbrella in the wind, especially for the price I paid for it.

The umbrella handled not only the wind like a champ, but it also helped diffuse the light from my SB-700 Nikon Flash that was being used off camera with the unit.

All in all I'd recommend this umbrella for aspiring strobist out there who are looking for an inexpensive shoot thru umbrella to help them work their way into off camera flash work.

An incredible price for an outstanding product. The umbrella is taunt and with a very nice translucent white. I shoot with soft box, domes, and umbrellas. Each photo shoot determines which flash diffuser I will use. The umbrella is frequently my choice because of the simplicity of setup. Two light stands, two speed lights, and two umbrellas can be set up in just a few minutes. I get soft diffused light that wraps around my subjects. This umbrella, along with two others I already own, meets my expectations and it will be frequently employed.

You can't go wrong for the price. Keep in mind that it is a lightweight umbrella. If it hits the floor once, while open, it will break (although it might still be usable, it will lose it's shape). The diffusion of the light is just as expected - no complaints there. It's just not the best quality but overall, a good decent, inexpensive white diffusion umbrella.

It's dirt cheap and diffuses light........it does what its intended to do. That being said, its constructed exactly as I expected a sub 10$ umbrella diffuser to be constructed. The shaft of the umbrella is very thin and would bend easily if handled a bit too rough. The metal tip on the bottom of the shaft likes to come off. It opens and closes smoothly, and comes with a plastic storage sleeve.

After the government 'Lockups' and being forced to use Amazon more, I am becoming more annoyed with how many of Amazon's products are 'Made in China' and shipped over to us suckers. I wish their was an indication on the website where products are actually made... but I'm sure they will never do this.

The color of the diffusion material is pure white and does not affect white balance like some others I have owned. No umbrella lasts forever, but I suspect this will old up very well.
