Entertaining premise and well done characters.
Girl sure does “got a set.” Ashe is a strong hostage negotiator who finds herself in need of some saving.
Oh, you’re going to provide a safe place for Ashe to stay, Chase! How chivalrous ;)
The post office is just the beginning. I thought once that situation was resolved Ashe would be in the clear. Boy...
I was wrong!
Ashe’s little secret surprised me as much as it surprised Chase.
The restaurant Chase’s family owns sounds delicious and
I want to eat there.
No matter how many theories I came up with as to how it was all going to shake down, I was wrong.
Girlfriend extraordinare Laney was a great supporting character.
HEA with lots of chemistry between H/H. Recommend!
From the very start, Ashe and Chase were fireworks. Whether it was the situations they found themselves in, or the tension and sexual chemistry that sizzled between them, there was excitement at every turn.
“At this point, Chase Weber in full monty would probably cause her brain to explode.”
Chase was protective and Ashe, despite her strength and independence, found herself succumbing to his need to ensure her safety. I loved their straight-forwardness and the lack of drama between them. There was drama and suspense to spare all around them, they didn’t need anything contrived to muddy the already churning waters…
Dodgy criminals, unpleasant exes and a slow build romance made for a first read by this author that has me hooked!
