Robert "Bob" DeGroot MEd, DCH, is the founder of Sales Training International and the SalesHelp brand owner. He is a bestselling author, psychometric researcher, test developer, consultant, top-producing sales professional, and trainer.

After completing his military service in the US Coast Guard, Bob attended Texas State University, earning a Bachelor of Arts degree in Psychology and a Master of Education (MEd) in School Psychology. He earned his Doctor of Clinical Hypnotherapy (DCH) degree from the American Institute of Hypnotherapy.

Bob’s sales career started with selling subscriptions to his newspaper route when he was eleven years old. It goes on to include selling business supplies, jewelry, job placement services, business brokerage services, industrial manufactured goods, and professional services. He’s sold products and services to all size organizations from one person shops to Fortune 500 companies. He’s sold across industries including direct to consumers, manufactures, and government organizations. He’s worked inside sales, retail sales, call center sales, and outside sales.

The magic in sales happened for Bob when he discovered the psychology that made the techniques and certain human interaction styles work to produce successful sales. His studies in human motivation, buying behavior, and persuasion led him to develop a very successful career in sales. When he started to share what and why he did what he did with others, they too shot to the top of their sales organizations.

Bob is the author of Psychology for Successful Selling (Branden Publishing Company, 1988) and Trance Formed Body (Doctor Hypnosis, 2016). Additionally, he developed more than seventy training courses, fifty web-based training courses, and forty plus e-books in the professions of sales, sales management, and customer service.
