He is a former notorious gangster and drug lord hailing from Brooklyn’s Red Hook Projects. Calvin has since turned his life around and is dedicated to giving back. He is involved with organizations such as, The Young Presidents Organization (YPO) and The Guns Down Life Up tour where he acts as a motivational speaker. Calvin managed international pop icon Akon and r&b singer Ray Lavender under the Konvict label, which he helped build. His documentary Gangsta Chronicles: The Story of a Brooklyn Don / Calvin Klein Bacote is the number one street dvd sold to date, grossing more than two million dollars. Calvin is mentioned in songs by artist such as Akon, Jay-Z and French Montana. He also signed a contract with Universal Studios to film his biopic. Among all of his accomplishments Calvin has added the greatest of all to his resume, being a devoted husband and father.
