The reason I'm not giving five stars is that it is made of low grade metal - it has a good plated finish on it but is low density and feels cheap. And its not high precision, the pins kept slipping off the piston face and I had to reset everything a few times to get the piston all the way in. I would have preferred to pay a few extra bucks for something higher quality that's made in America or Germany, but this is the only thing readily available and is good enough to get the job done.
Note that unless you are removing brake fluid from the bleed screws, be certain to remove some fluid from the master cylinder reservoir before you begin winding in your pistons. A turkey baster works well for this purpose.
I needed this tool for a front and rear brake pad replacement on a 2004 Mazda 3.
The prongs of head of the tool were just a few millimeters off, so I had to use a pair of needle nose pliers and some elbow grease to get the back caliper pistons back in their housing.
For the front, the number 3 adapter does the job, although it is also misaligned and went slightly sideways.
Also, it should be mentioned that I had to grind down one of the edges of the handle, as they had been press fitted on, and therefore the plate that exerts pressure on the other side of the caliper could not be assembled.
All in all, expect to have to work on this tool with a grinder to make it useful.
As for quality, these seem like they will last for a long time. They appear to be fairly solid but appearances can be deceiving.
