I've had limited use so far, but it is a lot easier driving 2 to 3 inch screws. It will come in handy for some future projects.

Edit: I've been able to put it through more use and I'm definitely impressed. Holds the bits well, and you're able to quickly change bits if using different screws. There's no problems driving long screws now as opposed to using a drill.

I recently bought a Hitachi 1/2" cordless Impact Driver and immediately fell in love with it. Soon, I wanted to be able to use all of the 1/4" Hex ended stuff in my toolbox such as smaller sockets, screwdriver bits, and drill bits with it. A quick search on Amazon for 1/2" to 1/4" hex quick change adapter yields numerous hits from well known makers in the $15 to $20 range. This Neiko adapter, a brand I am unfamiliar with cost only $6.80.
Because of the price being so reduced, I was initially skeptical, but as it happened to fulfill my order over the minimum for free shipping, I decided to give it a try. Boy, I'm glad I did. This tool is superbly made and works like a champ. It would be worth it at twice the price.
Unlike competing adapters, and one of the other reasons I was so skeptical was the relatively tiny size in comparison to the others. This is not a problem, and is, in fact, a real plus when adding anything to the end of a drill---less wobble. Just pull back on the adapter which is spring loaded and insert the tool of your choice...if they have the "indents", the adapter clamps down on the inserted tool and doesn't let go. Suddenly, my high-torque 1/2-incher serves double-purpose, now working with all of my 1/4" stuff. Nice!
Oh, and the blue color works for me, also.

Pros:
Compact.
Smooth bit release sleeve.
Feels solid.

Cons:
Electric blue color. Needs different color choices.

Nice and compact vs. some other quick releases out there.

As it turns out, using an impact wrench to drive screws works a lot better than a cordless drill!
It seems like this one is pretty solid too. It's a very powerful wrench, and I haven't had any problems with it.

i really wanted a square head impact for my automotive work but like the hex head just in case i want to do some other stuff around the house. this kept me from buying two separate tools. i haven't used this tool very much yet, so i can't say how sturdy it is or how well it holds up in the long term, but it seems solid and heavy enough to do the intended job.

I could not resist this converter for the price and when I received it, I liked it more than just what the picture was showing. This really seems to be very well built and works very smoothly. I am very happy with this purchase and I would highly recommend this converter to others.

I have not yet used this converter enough to speak to its durability but my initial finding is that it looks well made. I find that it reliably holds 1/4 hex bits/drivers that are too short to snap into some other quick release sockets. In fact, every 1/4 quick release bit & driver that I have snaps into this converter.

I read the reviews on the Irwin (stinks ), the Dewalt (stinks), and the Milwaukee ( better, but the 'new' ones stink, plus they're NOT for hog-rings), so was left with this one, and it wobbles too much...couldn't get the darn thing ON, but once I did, worried how to get it off----now, it fits so sloppy, it'll probably fly off! NOT COOL with impact speeds....thar IS hope with a WERA model, but like the Milwaukee, too exxpensive on Amazon....will hope price goes down, and soon ($30+)...glad didn't spend a boatload on this at $11+.....but would have been 1/3 closer to the WERA (German made)...don't really have high hopes for that one, either...GREAT idear----if only one of these actually work properly:(
