This tool was worth every penny! It turned an eight hour job into a two hour job. Previously, I had been using a manual pop rivet gun, and my hand would tire after only twenty rivets. With this great tool, I can do hundreds without any stress

This doesn't come with a hose fitting or oil, so pick up your adapter of choice before it arrives. Put a single drop of light machine oil into the air receptical every 50 rivets or so to keep it lubed.

The waste pin catching cup is nice, but only really useful on horizontal or upside down jobs... for vertical, expect the waste pin to slip out of the front after a second. Not a problem if you're expecting it.

Normally don't write reviews but was very impressed by the performance and ease-of-use of this riveter. Some of the other air riveters I looked at had a toy-like feel but not this one. Nice heft without being too heavy. Ran it off a small compressor at about 60psi and it worked great. Shot more than 400 3/16" aluminum rivets w/ 5/8 grip range and never had a mis-fire. Usually took a second trigger pull to get the nail out but for me that is no big deal. Sure beats the large hand riveters especially if you need a free hand to place/hold backup washers when riveting metal to wood. Finally the pistol-grip style provided the ability to push the rivets through snug holes and then hold them securely while actuating. Highly recommend this riveter and after using it for the price it seems like a steal.

Never worked reliably and after about 70 rivets it is toast. Would take several triggers to pop a rivet. I had my air pressure set at exactly 90 lbs which is max for this gun. Most times it would not completely "swallow" the popped rivet shaft forcing me to tap the next rivet into place in the snout. Finally two shafts became lodged in the snout and I can't figure out how to get them out - basically broken for good. I'm going to Lowes in the morning and buy a decent gun.
Update: I disassembled the nose and was able to dislodge the two rivets. I put the gun back together, successfully popped one rivet and the second one jammed again. Poking another rivet would not free the one that is jammed. This gun is going back to Amazon. Not worth much if you have to take it apart to clear a jam after every two or three rivets.

The gun worked beautifully with 3/16 rivets and 1/2 inch rivets. It didn't break the nail off if it was holding at an angle, like when very close to an inside edge. So straight works great. Must oil about every 50 rivets. It seems like a very solid and durable gun and very inexpensive.

Great tool, works great. One caution, if operated without the plastic container to catch the rivet pins be very careful as injury may result. I removed the container to get into a tight spot and when pulling the trigger with my hand on the back of the tool the tube that the pins are ejected through comes out of the tool and in my case cut the palm of my hand.

I'm 60 years+ and don't have the grip I used to. Got this one because I had to rivet using Huck Magna-Lok aluminum structural blind rivets (3/16"). This gun pops these like a champ! I don't know if it will pull the steel rivets, but I wouldn't be surprised if it would do them too. Only pulled about 20 so far, but this is a solid tool.

*****UPDATE 10-29-16*****
I've pulled a hundred of the Huck Magna-Lok MGLP-B6-E Aluminum structural blind rivets without a single problem. A few drops of a quality air tool oil every 50 is all it needs.

I obtained a sample of Huck Magna-Lok MGLP-R6-E steel structural blind rivets to see if this gun would pull them. It WILL NOT pop them at 90 PSI. However, at 110 PSI, it will. I pulled 2 with no issues. "Be Advised" this is outside the normal range of this gun and I'm sure it would void the warrranty but, it will do it. The fact that it worked on these steel rivets tells me that this gun should last a long time when used within the scope of it's design. I will get a heavier duty gun for the steel...........
