I loved it because I related to main character...she's tough with that bit of softness that makes her human, sassy out the mouth, and somewhat pessimistic about the opposite sex, yet she has all the great qualities men should want like sexiness, smarts, creativity and a heart as strong as her right hook. She's not a girly girl, but a feminine tom boy..it was many of these things that reminded me of me.
There were other things I loved, like all the Irish-ness. I read all of one character's dialogue aloud just to hear the accent. It was the details that attached me to the world that was painted. Now I have to read the next book, I miss everyone already.
**Note: I am an author who bought this when she had a 99cent sale (lucky me!!) I do know Gervasio by way of internet, but this makes me tougher, not easier in a review as I know what she's capable of. Next one I expect to be five stars, right N.L.G.?
