I pulled the trigger on the Nemo and I went with the darker gray with good reason. It seems to get warmer in the sun pretty quick. Here are a couple of things I learned. If you're camping near your vehicle, place the filled Nemo in your car during the day (the water will be very warm!). If you are in a tent.. put the filled Nemo near the tent wall that is getting sun. These two methods work better than just leaving it out in the sun by itself. Another plus... you do not need to hang this up.. just leave it on the ground. A few foot pumps and it's pressurized and ready to use! It has a quality spray handle similar to a kitchen sink sprayer with the on / off momentary paddle switch.
I also used this to wash camp dishes and to clean the Moab dirt from my Turbo RZR.
I saw a few reviews here of people criticizing how to use it with the valves, or filling issues. I really don't get it. This has to be the simplest thing to use and yet there are people struggling? I don't get it... and you shouldn't let it deter you. This is really that good.
My last tip... the whole Nemo system comes all zipped up within itself (pretty neat actually). Pay attention to how it arrives and looks, so you'll know how to fold it back up and zip it back up.
I've done so much research on a camp shower, it really doesn't make any sense.. that's just how I am.
I paid full price for this.. and the review is still glowing. Using it.. easy... filling it.. super easy... effective.. absolutely.
DO NOT buy the knock offs.. this material is different and seems like it will last longer than my camping equipment.
3/31/2017 UPDATE: In speaking at length with the product developers at Nemo - they called me to get more information on how I used this product - we narrowed it down to how the unit was stored. I kept it in a sealed Pelican case where I also had two propane bottles. They believe, as do I, that latent gas in that sealed case compromised the material used at the junction of the tube and the cap. I've bought another despite the knock-off now available on Amazon. Nemo deserves my business for the lengths they went to take care of me and get to the bottom of their product's performance.
3/23/16 UPDATE: So disappointed to have this fail on our last trip to Moab. A galvanized junction in the tubing just aft of the pump split. It's been used a dozen times or so and has been in our kit for about a year. For the money, I expected this to be pretty bullet proof.
Upon further inspection it looks like the material is failing. The tube coming out of the foot pump to a pressure fitting has disintegrated, the one-way valve on the foot pump has separated from the housing, and the lid from the top has disintegrated. The plastic is failing.
I got in touch with the folks at Nemo and they're replacing the unit, so kudos for them for taking care of their clients.
I even used it to start desensitizing my donkey to baths (no scary hoses on the ground, no loud noise from water) I'm not sure how I got by without this.
