A. W. Wang is an enthusiast for studying military history and enjoys reading all genres, especially science fiction and fantasy. In his adolescent years, he exercised his mind by playing strategy games and his body by running around a soccer field.
He really should have shown Course 21 more love.
After letting his small amount of talent in computer programming hijack his post-college years, his life’s journey has taken him back to his first true dream - writing science fiction and fantasy stories.
Besides the usual forms of mundane entertainment, his scant time outside of writing is spent going on ocean cruises and entertaining the cat, whom he is (of course) allergic to.

Eric Malikyte is a neurodivergent author, illustrator, science communicator, and video editor. He has published works in various genres, including Lovecraftian horror, dark fantasy, and cyberpunk. He has written for YouTube channels such as TopTenz, Geographics, and Biographics. He lives in Richmond, Virginia, with his wife and two cats, where he spends his spare time exploring used bookstores, Irish Pubs, and terrorizing the neighborhood children on Halloween.

Matthew A. Goodwin has been writing about spaceships, dragons and adventures since he was a child. After creating his first fantasy world at twelve years old, he never stopped writing. Storytelling happened only in the background for over a decade as he spent his days caring for wildlife as a zookeeper, but when his son was born, he decided to pursue his lifelong dream of becoming an author.
Having always loved sweeping space operas and gritty cyberpunk stories that asked questions about man’s relationship to technology, he penned the international bestselling series, A Cyberpunk Saga. His passion for the genre also inspired him to create and cofound Cyberpunk Day ™, a celebration of all things high tech / low life.
He is now expanding his science fiction universe into space.

James L. Graetz is a writer from Australia. He's a neuroscience researcher by day and writes science fiction and fantasy by night. Neon Digital Darkness is a short anthology with a backstory to HEART THREADED, his latest release novel.
He is accompanied by his loyal Border Collie and a one eyed rescue cat that regularly knocks off his glasses when he's reading.

I knew Anna Mocikat was going to have a story in this so I was very excited to read it! Not just her story is here, several other authors also offer their talents in prose to write a diverse set of stories in the Cyberpunk Genre.
There’s 15 stories here each unique but all staying with the ‘high tech, low life’ theme.
I enjoyed each story for sure but I’m just gonna high light some of my favorites.
‘We are The Good Guys’ is the story I bought this Anthology for since it follows Anna Mocikat's story ‘Behind Blue Eyes’ very much enjoyed the journey to Olympias again!
‘Vice Grip’ is the first story very much plays with the ‘what is real theme’ well.
‘Cleaners’ was in the same vein of ‘what is real’ will be thinking about this story for awhile!
‘The Volunteer’ was a favorite for me, very ‘Black Mirror’ like but it was well written and had a sad foreboding about it that just struck me.
‘Requiem’ was very surprising loved the idea of emotions creating music and even death.
‘The Woman in White’ was another story I really enjoyed, very well written story of revenge in a cyberpunk setting.
‘The Demonstration’ reminded me of a lot of A.I. War stories but with an Android. Very creepy ending! Will sleep with one eye open after this story!
‘Crushed’ was a very well told but sad story of a true low life in a high tech world. Very well written!
‘CyberCroc’ was creepy but rather cool! Didn’t think the idea of linking minds with a crocodile might be cool but I do now!
‘Breakneck’ was very fun but was rather sad and had an ominous ending. Very well written story!
‘The Modern Panoptes’ was a very cool story to end the anthology with especially since it’s the most hopeful story in the bunch and it for sure gave it an edge there.
All the stories are a great read and totally worth your time if you enjoy the Cyberpunk genre. Didn’t expect to get through it so quickly either! Bravo to all and if you buy this Anthology read all of the stories because there’s something for every Cyberpunk fan!
There are cyborg assassins, deadbeat deities, a censored sun, heavy-duty & deadly weapons, homicidal AIs and punk rock death cults to keep you entertained, amazed--and (for me at least) concerned about some of this becoming a reality. Sci fi writers have a strong track record of predicting much of what has come to pass in the world of tech. Do not doubt their imaginations.
Science fiction has a habit of becoming science fact. Read this book, by some fantastic and gifted authors, and see what the future may have in store for YOU.
With all that being said there really are only a few “great” stories in the bunch, while the others are definitely more in line with the quality of work you’d find on Tumblr alongside the cyberpunk hashtag. Including a swath of typos and misspellings (some of which even exist in the same paragraph), but I applaud the efforts of each and every author who contributed nonetheless.
Definitely worth Picking up if you’re a fan of the genre, and looking to check out some new indie authors to follow on Goodreads. I’ve actually read a few of the authors works already and it’s what drew me to this anthology in the first place.
I’ll definitely check out the second installment as well.
I LOVED that A. W. Wang's story took you right into my favorite parts of the Ten Sigma universe - the battles.
There wasn't a single story that I hate enough to skip through, and there were many that were excellent reads. Highly recommend this for fans of cyber punk or really ScifFi in general!
Bring your chargers for those ebook readers, Cyberpunks! It’s gonna be an all nighter.
From Nephilim’s giant leap, to killer crocs, to music to die for... it’s gonna be a night to remember.
Don’t pick it up till you can afford to not put it down!
This is the best upgrade credits can buy!

Kurzgeschichten zahlreicher Cyberpunk Autoren :)
If you're new to the genre, maybe prompted by a recent game release, this collection could act as a real gateway into the world of cyberpunk with stories covering augmentation, virtual and augmented reality, high tech crime and even a CyberCroc. There's plenty of action along the way as well as a fair helping of philosophical questions to make you think about the path humanity may be on and where that could end.
For the more seasoned explorer, there's plenty of fresh voices here and new ideas to keep you interested too. All in all this is a great collection and I will be looking forward to any future instalments and will definitely check out other works by the authors involved.
