Product Description
INCREDIBLE NEODYMIUM STRENGTH
Applied Magnets Neodymium rare earth magnets are stronger than the strongest ceramic magnets! With a grade of N42, each magnet packs a huge magnetic energy punch and will last forever under normal use. Unlike most other types of magnets, Applied Magnets Neodymium is highly resistant to demagnetization and will not lose their magnetization around other magnets.
APPLIED MAGNETS
Applied Magnets is able to offer you the high quality Neodymium magnets with consistent performance. This Super Strong Neodymium Cup Magnet is extremely powerful and built to last. It’s designed & manufactured under stringent, top quality standards using the latest technology to ensure you receive the best Neodymium Magnet every time.

Pull Force
Pull Force is the amount of force required to separate 2 of the same size magnets from each other.
Actual pull force of cylinder/disc magnets may vary depending on different applications due to the small contact surface, please test them before usage.
Rule of thumb is that the magnet will hold approx. 1/3 the weight of the stated pull force. So...If pull force stated is 90 lbs...the magnet will hold approx. 30 lbs in weight hanging from it.
How to SAFELY Separate your Applied Magnets Products ! !
CORRECT
1. Slide one magnet off the top of the stack.
2. Once off thestack, carefully start lifting the magnet.
3. Lift the magnet to free it from the stack.
INCORRECT
1. DO NOT attempt to pull, lift, or pry amagnet from the stack before sliding it to the side.
2. DO NOT throw away the white storage spacers.
3. DO NOT allow the magnets to snap to each other or any magnetic surface. doing so may cause magnets to break!

This provided significantly more strength than had I attempted without. These N52 magnets are indeed SUPER STRONG and have a gauss rating of 8 out of 10 where most other craft magnets have a standard gauss rating of only 5. Besides the thin profile, what I loved most about these magnets is their incredible strength! I affixed a 3M double sided adhesive discs to the top of a clean, dry lid:
https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B0751ZZCH3/ref=oh_aui_detailpage_o02_s00?ie=UTF8&psc=1
and then attached one magnet to the adhesive disc. Voila! (If you are using the smaller 1.5 oz hexagon glass jars, then I recommend you use a lesser gauss grade magnet)
I couldn't be more pleased with the success of this project. I hope you find this review helpful... :0) <3

I especially wanted to affix our paper towel holder to the fridge, above a chopping block - but the magnets were not powerful enough to hold the weight of the stainless steel holder with the towels on it.
Having said that - these suckers are really strong. Follow instructions on how to separate them. I did! Then my beloved had to come up and try to slide them off in his hand.
Bad. Things. Happened. (Disclaimer: when you slide magnets off the stack as directed, all is well.)
We have a few magnet stacks now that are permanently stuck together, in sets of twos and three's. In trying to successfully separate the remaining magnets with wooden implements, I discovered that the magnets are strong enough to stick together through a thickness of wood. And I discovered that, when this magnets zap together (from a distance I would never have imagined that they could attract one another) they can indeed break the skin.
However, they do achieve their desired purpose. I'm moving paring knives, kitchen scissors, sieves and whisks up on these magnets easily. I can see where they are and grab them quickly without having to dig through kitchen drawers.
If you affix them to a metal fridge, be careful and keep them far apart. I had one magnet too close to the paring knife, and sure enough, it leaped on top of the knife, creating a little knife sandwich. We got the knife out, but had to leave that stack of three. They are together, forever.
I would give the product five stars if they were easier to manage.

Update 8/14/2018
I purchased some cheaper 1.26 x 1/8in from D**MAG and 1.26 x 0.06in (1/16in) from Z***ma magnets to use in a new knife holder. I then did a crude comparison with a scale to see how much weight each magnet could lift with only the narrow edge of key ring in contact with the magnet. This 1.26 x 1/8in from App***nets could lift ~13oz while the others could lift ~6.5 and 3.7 oz for D**MAG and Z***ma respectively. This difference was noticeable even without using a scale. The two cheaper brands are most likely the same N grade based on the approximate halving of force going from 1/8 to 1/16 in thickness. Regardless they do not appear to be the same N grade as the App***nets one.
