"The books are humorous and intelligent with interesting mysteries that don't always include murder. The author has populated the series with well-drawn characters; nice, nasty and quirky alike, making this series a pleasure to read."
"You will know her characters like friends and enjoy spending time with them. Between books you will think of them and wonder what is next for them. Hopefully the next book is already being written....I can't wait to read it."
"Her descriptions are delightful, there is a smart plot & emotionally mature and real characters. I can't wait to see what comes next."
"Love the new character, love the houseboat in the NW setting, love the love interest with a hot and moody detective. My only complaint is having to wait until the next in the series!"
"Simply some of the best mystery suspense books out there. Well written, with a real story, wonderful characters and with plenty of humor."
"Rarely do characters really resonate with me, but I loved Eva. She's competent, smartly funny, kind, and in spite of all that, she's likable! This is a fast-moving, interesting plot that makes you sit up and pay attention."
"The characters were interesting, likeable, funny and well-developed. I can't wait to read more books in this series. The setting made me want to pack up and move to Portland and buy a houseboat."
"Once again, I was held captive: reading until the early morning hours."
"I love Jerusha's mysteries. She combines clever plots, quirky characters, and likeable heroines. Her writing is breezy and entertaining."
"For a long time now, since reading Jerusha's first Imogene Museum series, I've wanted to comment on her ability to share her real human feelings for those she writes about, and to make them alive for her readers! Anyone interested in these attributes will enjoy EVERY book she writes!"

A few of the regular supporting characters from other books like Cal and Doc are missing. Hope they reappear in the next book.
The plots are each different and focus on topic that I would not think about. This one involved sourcing food, servers, and on-line gambling. A previous one dealt this human trafficking's.
While I hope Jerusa Jones will continue adding to this series, after reading book 9 I will try another one of her series.
a fast read, I love the combination of partners she puts together to help solve each case. From a 15 year old culinary sidekick with blue hair to her jewelry designing senior citizen mother-in-law with orange hair and lots of bling, her descriptions bring each character to life and they continue to grow in complexity with each new book. Every book includes an painless education in interesting and timely topics, this time foraging for food and running fast server farms for online data. I never thought about the electricity it takes to answer my every Google query, much less control online gambling. I can't wait for the next good read in any of her series!
Very unsatisfactory. Seemed to have too much filler verbiage. Not enough action.
When there was finally action it was good. But just not up to par. I have all of this author's books - even though I don't really like the Sockeye County ones. And this is the most disappointing.
Better luck next time.
